Welcome to round 6 of the Skoda 130RS Trophy!
We're heading (very) west for our summer holidays and are stopping over at Singapore for a race on the historic Thompson Road GP course!

As mentioned in the announcement for the series we have no mandatory tire/fuel stop, but the tire wear has been set at 130% so you may or may not need tires...

Timings:
Practice: 19:30 (45 mins)
Qualifying: 20:15 (15 mins)
Race: 20:30  (19 Laps)

Cars allowed:
Skoda 130RS

Skin Pack:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/kp1n9c9yt68yyih/Skoda%20skins.rar?dl=0

Inside the pack you will find 5 folders - these need to be placed into "*Your steam library*steamappscommonassettocorsacontentcarstmm_skoda_130rsskins"

I also recommend you install the big skin pack from the 1st post in the announcement thread - I may have selected some of those cars when setting up the server (It's nearly impossible to tell which are which in the server software). If you see any white cars this will be your problem.

Track: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/thomson-road-grand-prix.13694/

Live Timing: stracker.simracing.org.uk:50041/lapstat

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Weather: Clear
Start: Standing
Tyre wear: 130%
Fuel consumption: normal

Server track settings:
SESSION_START=98
RANDOMNESS=2
LAP_GAIN=20
SESSION_TRANSFER=80

Damage: 70%

It was running on the server so I guess it must have crashed/gone to sleep.
I've restarted it now and it was visible when I checked a couple of minutes ago Smiley

worked for me last night. Only went on briefly to check i had right version of the track and test out my new SRS dynamic wind setup  Smiley Hopefully no more roasting race sessions where i lose about 1kg in body weight through sweat  Grin  Two usb fans funnel cool air through flexi tubing direct to me ala a real race car setup, they increase or decrease depending on car speed and also shift air to either side to create cornering sensations, pretty nifty  Cool

This is another great combo, the nimble Skoda almost dances through the switchback curves.  Smiley

Hello. I wanna take part tonight. Do I need to register or chose a skin?

PS: I've made my first laps. Car/track combo is pure gold.

@FullMetalGasket is the organiser of the series but I just wanted to let you know that you'll be welcome, no need to register afaik and the skins are in a skin pack yet I suggest you to download and install, but still you can get in the server and get a non customised skin.
I see that you registered a laptime on sTracker yet, so it's fine about the track and car.
See you on the track !  Wink

You'll be very welcome - as mentioned there's no need to register, just make sure you can see the password at the top of the thread and you should be good to go! Smiley

As Solmyr mentions it's worth downloading the skinpack for the series and also the one I link to on racedepartment to ensure you see everyone in their full glory Wink (Both should be in the first post unless I did it wrong this week ninja )

Thanks guys. I think my friend Hristo will make it as well. Can't wait to race again with you.

Really enjoyed this track, best one we have used in this series in my opinion.

As usual I wasn't troubling the front runners but after getting past Dimitar (good to see you & Hristo racing), I spent most of the race chasing Mark & Syd, some laps I was closing, others losing ground. The last few laps really livened up when I caught Syd after he had an off course excursion. I guess Syd had some damage as he had been faster earlier in the race but now I was all over his tail through the twisty bits & eventually found a way past on the very last lap, good fun.

Contrary to last week where I struggled with understeer in the fast corners, at this track it was the two hairpins where I was getting lots of understeer & in the fast corners the car handled great.  Huh

Congrats to the podium.  clap clap clap

Good fun last night, enjoyed the race throughout. Just couldnt make any in-roads to the front 4 despite seeing them about 100m ahead most of the race. It sounds like i might have had the wrong ratio again but thats my penalty for not being able to practise before the night so will take it on the chin.

Race start:-  Nearly suffered my third consecutive lap1 incident when someone alongside me on the left decided that my car didnt exist, despite being there for several hundred metres! and pulled right into me from behind the car ahead of him (do some race in horse blinkers?!) - i had a car on my right so couldnt go anywhere and had to bail out the throttle to avoid us having an almighty crash that would have taken several cars with us. Of course this meant everyone behind me got a run on me  taz
Luckily for me they were fairly cagey on the brakes up at the first hairpin and i kept my position (ish).

Got a run on Syd quite early on in the twisties and got past whilst battling one of the new guys for a few laps. He then fell back and i was chasing Maxime for quite a while until i got a squirmy exit out of the final hairpin which let them gain a sec or two up the road  Sad Syd got closer and closer and chased me for a long while until he got back past  me. Oddly, he then couldnt drop me  Huh despite making up several seconds to catch me,  and we raced very closely for the majority of the race until he binned it in the final sector whilst we battled hard. Good fun.
I had an easier time for the last 10mins, though had to be aware Syd and Geoff were only 3 secs behind so couldnt afford any errors on my worn boots.
Finished 6th i think  Smiley

Nice track/car combo  Cool

As Geoff said this was a lovely car/track combo. But I didn't expected that it will provide another amazing chapter in my battle with Hristo as I was too slow.

Even though I was slow I produce amazing consistency and after Hristo had problem at the beginning I was in front of him. I wanted to stay with Geoffers at the beginning but he was faster. Kimi was behind me and we had a nice little battle but unfortunately something happen to him and it was now a chase and later a battle with Hristo.

He was catching me fast and even though with damage his car was much faster. At the end he started attacking - I gave everything and the battle was decided at the very end - the acceleration from last corner on last lap. So much fun!

Grats to the podium guys.

The full version - whatever that's called!
You'll have to wait until after work when I can fire up my PC and find out (That's when I'll be posting the next thread and starting the server anyway).

For Hristo, Dimitar, Geoff and anyone else wondering about driving style/balance required here's my pole lap from onboard - I've turned on a load of the RSS apps to show throttle and brake input + the pretty but ultimately useless G-ball Grin
