Loads of practice, good qual, managed less than one lap by trying to go where you can't when forced wide
Ah well..

Sorry Matt, I should have started Lap 1 less aggressive. Always a shame if a lot of practice ends up in barely one lap.

I don't blame you Dan, I wasn't aware of exactly where you were, I assumed no one would be daft enought  Shocked
to try a pass there, I also assumed that keeping right would be just fine, but it was just flying in the air instead
I haven't run this layout for ages, though I do like it.

Was quite late back from work, so got online late thinking it would be ok as the quali never starts before 8.20.....whoops!

Was just happy not to miss it, chose the Suzuki as I have a setup for that car from earlier events, sort the gearing and I was away.

Got caught up in the problems Matt had whilst fighting hard with Manfred, and had to get the car turned around, but it seemed there wasn't too much damage. Was reeling the laps off at a fair pace, and then as the car got a little lighter found much more speed, and started reeling Micha in for 4th place, and lead of class. Spun it after hitting the barrier hard at the swimming pool section, and did have some damage this time as it didn't turn so well into the tighter turns at all.

Got back to Micha, stuck in the tow for a couple of laps looking where might be best to go through, and realised I was quicker in a lot of corners but not many of them would lead to an overtake. Up the hill after St. Devote was looking good..... but then I had a great run into the tunnel, combined with Micha not getting the drive he had previously, and I breathed in and squeezed by into the chicane. Couple of good laps to pull the gap and out came the flag.

Highlight of the race was following tight behind Geoff, and coming across Clive recovering, and whipping past with my huge momentum in the little Suzuki. Must have woke him up, as he then blasted past both myself and Manfred to take the podium back!

All good fun in these, I hate Monaco normally but even I will admit it works in the tiddlers.
