RACE TWO will follow, with same rules as for Race One except that, Race One podiums will not take part in Race Two qualification.Time of Day Setting: 14:00 Start: STANDING Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Pit stops: Not required Server: simracing.org.uk Monday Password: see aboveNotes: (1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read Autopit="0" Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable. Special Notes: Driver's must complete over 50% race distance to score points.

Mine do. EDIT: Ah, I see what you mean now. No bonnet in bonnet view. But I never use bonnet view so not a problem

I think you perched on the bonnet would be more detrimental.

All in all an evening's racing to forget. First race, after a bad start I caught up with Erling & spent a few laps unsuccessfully looking for a way past before getting on the grass exiting the chicane & spinning into the pit wall. Sustained a fair amount of damage resulting in an ill-handling car & so decided to pit for repairs & lost the best part of 2 laps. After rejoining I found my frame rate had fallen to around 12-15fps making driving next to impossible so quit out to restart GTL. Took the chance while waiting for race 2 to make a few setup changes which for a change really did improve the car & I found almost 1s in laptime, still far from Daz pace though. Rejoined the server & managed to nab pole for race 2. Led for a few laps although I picked up two cut warnings early on so had to be a bit careful after that, but just as Daz caught me I got the chicane wrong & got another cut & an S/G. Came in to serve it & could not get the pitboard to show up, eventually after much shunting back & forth it did appear but by then I had lost a lap. 2 laps from the end I got another S/G & once again could not make the pitboard appear so gave up with it & took the post race time penalty. So basically a rubbish event for me, although the frame rate drop was not so bad in race 2 still at around 30 at the end. Congrats to Daz, Erling & Tony on the podiums.

Two partially interesting races for me yesterday.
Got a good start in race 1, sneaking ahead of Geoffers. Daz buggered of, as expected. Over the early laps I had a 1-2 secs gaps to Geoffers, but that was eroded away. Just as he had gotten real close, he spun off as he described, and with that the race turned lonely. Weird with the frame rate issue Geoff; can't recall problems with the standard tracks.
The no-qual in race 2 put me 2nd to last on the grid, but I got a bit of a dream start. Gained a place off the line, and another 3 at T1 when 2 cars went a bit wide. Thus found myself 2nd, chasing after Geoffers. Had a 3-letter problem behind me though, and it didn't take many laps for him to appear in my mirrors. Daz lined up an attack down the back straight. I tried to offer a token of resistance, braking as late as I possibly could, but about as futile as taking on the entire Borg Collective.. He made an impossible move through the chicane, and cleanly too.
After a few more laps, he apparently got Geoffers too, and I was once again chasing the latter. When he went for the S/G, this race turned lonely too.
Grats to Daz on two wins that were never in jeopardy, and to Tony for the 3rds. Interesting format, with the two-race & no-podium-qual in race 2.

Yeh, I have mentioned it before. It is unique to GTL on my setup & has only occurred since I got my Fanatec wheel, so it must be something to do with that. I have read of people having similar problems in other sims (PCars, Forza) with Fanatec wheels but not in GTL, but then there are probably very few people left racing GTL.
