I would imagine the 911 RSR should be pretty good round here as well as the 906.

I should be there if i can re-install my new GPU and re-wire my system in time - get home at 6, so cutting it a bit fine, and still haven't downloaded the track yet, and Orange are supplying a terrible broadband service at present - it dosn't look too good but i will try to be there in the 911...

Fingers crossed Wink

I'll come to this only if I've had a chance to spend a few minutes learning the circuit first.

These races till the end of Season 2 will be used as a gauge to whether UKGTL has a future post season 2. IMHO it's pretty touch and go at the moment as the fields aren't consistently big enough still.

I'll come to this only if I've had a chance to spend a few minutes learning the circuit first.

I learnt it within 5 laps of P1 last time we did it. It's really quite a simple circuit.

Well, i for one would hate to see it drop off the intinary but understand if attendances are low its hard to consider maintaining it.

If it has to be downscaled why not reduce it to more special event type races every other week or at least consider running the Power & glory mod for GTR2 that has been getting rave reviews. Its a bit limited in car choices at the moment but they are promising ongoing car packs to add to it. The physics are supposed to be spot on for historical cars using the original specs as opposed to the 'modern' historics of GTL...so you get super-slide radial tyres and plenty of drift and opposite lock  Cool Plus we get the weather and damage modelling of GTR2's advanced engine.

It would be a travesty to lose our fix of racing historics in one or another.  :'(

Besides, i thought the grids had been reasonably good lately with upto 18 cars competing. It all seems to depend on the track/car combo as the numbers differ so wildly in different weeks.

Yeah, if we can't keep GTL alive, maybe try Power and Glory. Alot of GTR2 folk may be able to join in at that point too, increasing grid size.

Man that was hard work!  Hapopy with my qually in the end .... keeping Bernie behind me.  Shame I decided to check who was behind me on lap one as I let them all past.  Was stuck behind PRib and someone else (I forget) for a good while until I got into a rhythm and they both slid wide after locking up.  After that it was time to get my head down and get after Bernie  for pretty much the rest of the race.  Ossie appeared between us after losing some ground and I was then stuck trying to get by/keep up.  Soz for the nudge, it's just too easy to lock a wheel on that circuit for some reason.  Still, no harm done eh?  Was hoping to get by on the last 2 laps, but lost the rear end and that was that.

Good fun, but tough going!

Intersesting evening for me. At first I was gonna have a GTR2 race, but I had problems with an overheating PC, so I withdrew from that. Luckily for me GTL suffers less from overhating.

Took the worst handling car on a Mickey Mouse track in a Porsche cup. Well, that showed. I just couldn't get that Beamer to turn and I was holding up many many 906's  Cheesy. On the straight the BMW blasted away.
I had some spinning cars behind, probably because they didn't expect me to go so slow through the corners. I wish I could have gone faster through them, but the car just didn't let me  Embarrassed.
That's the downside of different cars on track. I could have taken the easy way in the 911 or 906  Wink
