Yes if we can't keep GTL alive then maybe something similar.  Where can I get information on Power & Glory please?  Roll Eyes

that was hard sweaty work.

I didnt like this car track combo at all, thought it was way too mickey mouse for these '76 cars.  Sad
Even though i had top 5 pace on it in qual (5th) and race (3rd fastest lap), i ended up coming a cruddy 10th after no less than 5 annoying spins...4 of them behind Jeffs frustratingly slow BMW  Sad
I had to keep hitting the brakes to avoid hitting his rear end and it made my own car unstable, causing me to spin around Roll Eyes taz

Shame as the car was great when i had clean air and could keep a rhythm going. Can we have bigger tracks for this class next time please? These little twisty tracks are fine for the TC65 cars but think i only used 4th once around a lap in the 911  wacko

Apologies to Madd who i tapped on the warm up under the concertina effect. Sorry mate.  Embarrassed  I was gonna give myself a stop and go but just didnt trust the stupid coding to put me out of the race.

It was a fun nightmare race Huh
Congrats to podium guys Smiley
The 914 just dont turn...period...but its a hell of a fun driving it around Grin
The back end is always trying to overtake the front Roll Eyes
Its a weird understeer/oversteer driving  Undecided
Keith, sorry for the tap, i was in your bumper and you braked too much
earlier than usuall Sad
Had a good clean fight with Fred Joseph for a while, then we began to fight
for the most beautiful spin Cool, i did it for 5 times at least, i think he did
the same, we are waiting for the final juri results for best spin laugh

Cheers

Yeah, if we can't keep GTL alive, maybe try Power and Glory. Alot of GTR2 folk may be able to join in at that point too, increasing grid size.

Mister consistency.   Grin Last on the road as usual.  Still being lapped continuously allows reverse overtaking - see if I can pick the point to be overtaken by just moving off line and maybe lifting - as opposed to being a rolling road block.   ban

Undecided Bit of a mixed affair for me, warmup lap was weird, stop, start ,then got tapped from behind and waited for the entire field to pass :'( Decided to go for it and started to make up places immediately, a podium was a no chance so decided to get as far as I could.
Managed to get up to Simon, Jeff and Assassino and made an error into T1 and made contact, i think I came off worse so just rewards ! Had terminal understeer from then on so had to take different lines into last bend to compensate.
Managed to get back up to the Ruskus group eventually and finally got into 5th 6th?? but made another boo boo and spun had a good scrap with Jeff for a few laps, side by side into the last corner and T1, wicked!! but finally squeezed past for 7th.
Grats to podium.

PS don't sweat it Mark in the end it made little difference tbh, I would have spun probably anyway!!

..4 of them behind Jeffs frustratingly slow BMW  Sad

Can't call it slow tbh. My qually lap was only 0.5 slower than yours, and in the stage that you were behind me, my racepace was only 0.5s slower than my qually lap. Which seems a good racepace to me.
The BMW just have to have a straight, whereas the Porsche needs corners. I can't complain that the Porkers held me up on straights  Undecided

Im left with big mixed feelings after that race! That was oh so very nearly the best race i've ever had, but my girlfriend came in to ask how loong I would be on lap 39 and I lost "the zone" momentarily - went wide and Stu was back through!

Up to that point it was very hard work. Off the line Stu went defensive into the first few turns and couldnt slow down in time to make the bend, so I got an early gap which soon started coming down. I thought theres no way I was going to outpace Stu so just concentrated on getting every apex and nice clean acceleration out. It was working and I got into a really nice rhythm, which was broken coming passed some scrapping back-markers. I braked a bit "unusually" and was going too quick - spun all on my own and Stu was through (but only just) so I managed tpo acceleerate alongside him and got a good drag onto him but all I could do was follow. Amazingly I had another chance as Stu spun it all on his own (1 all!)
and had another 10 laps to hold him off. He soon got back up to my tail - I reckon he was a second quicker ish as he was really pushing no doubt! Still I felt I could still keep my line and keep it clean - and was really on the edge when the door opened and I'm getting asked stupid questions. I just messed up my pedal co-ordination a bit, understerred wide and Stu was alongside with a better drive! All over!

Really great race tho - I really did put all my energy into that so its really frustrating too!
Grats Stu ;-)

Think I'm gonna get a lock on my race room door!!

I didnt mean you was slow Ruskus obviously  Wink nor that the BMW was slow over a lap but it was freakishly slow in the corners. I was amazed at the pace it had down the straight, never realised the BMW had that much poke, but likewise never knew it had the cornering speed of a slug  Huh
