Season 41 – 1966 F1 Championship

This season, races are to be run at 60fps – please use this patch 60fpsV2newmod. If you have issues read festers post.

Drivers must complete 50% of each race to score.

The races will be run as follows:

Car set: 1966 F1 only.
Date: Every second Tuesday from 13th September 2022
Time: No later then 9:00pm UK Time (30-60 mins practice, race starts at 9:30pm)
Race Length: 50 minutes
Damage Model:  Pro
Server: TBA
Race List: IGOR

Handicapping
A tokens system will be used with drivers being awarded tokens for starting the season and for starting each race. Each car will cost a number of tokens per race.

Drivers are reminded that Lap 1 incidents carry an extra 1 place penalty.

Only reported incidents will be moderated.

I'm interested in racing in this 1966 series. I'm not sure what else I have to do, but it looks like the choice of car depends on your tokens, so what is available to me as a new starter? I'd be happy driving anything.

Hi Bob
I've processed your registration so you now appear on the championship table and you should see the race password (which is at the top of the race announcement) when it is released.

You'll be too good for the amateurs class so you will only get 10 tokens for starting the season (the amateurs get 20) but when added to your 10 tokens "start money" still means you can drive any car in your first race. However, plan your car choices carefully to optimise your chances throughout the season.

Registration processed, you're in but as a reserve because we've already got 19 full-time drivers. But with a total of 22 drivers you should always get a drive, it is unlikely everyone will turn up.

We now have 24 drivers registered so that means 5 more than a full grid (19 drivers + the server). So that means you will have to be a reserve. You should still get a drive because it is rare for more than 19 drivers to turn up to race, but please make sure you give the regular drivers plenty of time to join the server before you join. We don't want any championship contenders missing out on a chance to race.

Christian - you will start with 5 tokens as you are joining in the 2nd half of the season. You cannot use the BT19 Brabham or the 312 Ferrari.
