Car Group choice
Each Car Group has been assigned four random number's (between 22-33) which will not change and are known only to myself.
Beginning at 14:00 (GMT) on Sunday, November 6th, drivers wishing to take part, will send me a pm containing one number (chosen from this range, 22-33). Pm's received will be dealt with on a strict, first come, first served, basis. Pm's received before 14:00 (GMT) on November 6th will be ignored.
On receipt of your number, I will assign you your Car. If the chosen Car Group is full, you will be placed in the next available Car Group determined by adding 1 to your given number (and repeated until a free Car Group space is able to be allocated).
This process will repeat until twelve Car Group places have been allocated or we reach December 23rd (whichever occurs soonest).
If more than 12 drivers enter additional cars will be made available.
I will take my choice from any un-allocated Car Group places.
When I confirm a successful entry I will also provide a download link.
You are basically racing against the other driver's in your Car Group but obviously there will be an overall results table as well.

Please only use the cars in the 2022 Christmas Special download. The Gislaved Cup carset will not work for this event.

Just a couple of points discovered during online testing.
There is no pit lane speed limit (as cuts are off).
Road brake zone shading, visible in practice, disappear for qualy and race.

Our Game server has gone AWOL so you will not be able to practice online.
I will try it again this afternoon. I will also prepare my home server, just in case the Game server doesn't come back in time for the race.
I'll keep you all updated.
EDIT: Home server is set up and ready to go, if required.

Hope you get it fixed Tony. A few words of well meaning advice: As the track record seems to suggest that mayhem at the first braking zone - the sharp left-hander before the bridge - isn't entirely uncommon, caution is recommended. In these crates with abysmal braking, and cold tires to boot, it's very easy to send yourself - and anyone unlucky enough to be in front of you, deep into the swamp, or into and possibly over the wall. So everyone please assume the guy in front brakes before you do..  With that said, I truly hope I'm not the one to bollocks everything up there, as that would be rather embarrassing.. |

Hi Tony and everyone else, I'm afraid I have to cancel. I just noticed that the race is not today, but tomorrow on Thursday...this unfortunately clashes with the ABB  This would leave a 250 GTO unoccupied unfortunately. Sorry and have a happy new year! Glück auf! |

I notice mention of server issues in the above posts.
I have only ever joined UKGTL races via the Lobby. Is there a different login procedure for Tony's private server?
Having just tried a few laps of offline practice in the DB4 I can only echo Erling's warning and hope that no-one is in front of me in ANY of the braking zones, as this car does not appear to understand the concept of retardation!!!!

Whatever we use, it will be the same procedure to join online as per usual. BTW My server was only running briefly, this pm, as a test. |

Working with Tony, I have put up my backup server
"UKGTLM3" If Pete can get the proper server sorted, then we'll use that. If not see if you can log
on to mine with your car. I can log on with all 3 now, so should be good, but test before just in case.
Dan was on it earlier, so looks good.
Is running the usual practice password at the moment.

OK thanks guys, I will try later. Hoping to take part this evening, but I made the mistake of sitting too closely to my grandson on Boxing Day as he was coughing, snotting and sweating with a sore throat etc. Woke up this morning with a sore throat and feeling less than 100%. (That might give the impression that I normally feel 100%. which would be wrong  ). Dosing with paracetamol etc , so I hope that it is just a 24hr bug. |
