Looks like this is not going to be "my" series.  

Could not avoid the crash in lap 1, destroyed my suspension and got 0%

@ Nappe: btw - is it correct that the Skyline has (only) 4 gears? hdc says 5 but in the grb there are only 4.

Grats to Nocatu, the lone survivor after approx  90 mins.

Commiserations to those that did not survive the first few laps. That does seem very harsh when you are expecting a 2 hr marathon 

There were just 3 cars in the big banger class, and as would be expected, we eased away at the start of the race. Fulvio leading, myself in 2nd spot and closely followed by nocatu in the Capri.
On lap 1 I had found that my car was quicker than Fulvio down through Masta and had to ease back when the slipstream dragged me too close. On lap 2 I took advantage and passed Fulvio down to Stavelot to take the lead. No big deal as there was almost 2 hrs left, but at least I now had a clear view of the road ahead. Then the server coughed and all of the smaller class cars were disco'd.
That left 3 cars and over 100mins of racing still to face.
Over the next few laps the gap slowly grew as I settled into a steady pace and I tried to protect tyres and fuel, and then Fulvio vanished !!!   2 cars left !!
I think my BMW  had the edge over the Capri for speed on the long straights and it allowed me to gradually extend my lead until I was about 20 seconds ahead..a small mistake lost me half of my lead, reminding me to maintain concentration.

My first pit stop was a mess as I lost all of my lead trying to select the correct parameters and when I left the pits nocatu was just 2 secs behind. But again the speed of the BMW allowed me to ease away again and I figured that if I could achieve another 25 sec gap before the next pit stop, that would be ideal.
But the Capri must have had a few moments and I was soon basking in a lead of over 40 secs and I relaxed a little at around 1.5 hours(?). BIG MISTAKE!!

Tyres had not been changed at the pitstop and were now  50% worn and getting a little less predictable. That caught me out when the rear end snapped away exiting a corner and the resultant tank slapper directed me straight into a metal pylon, killing the car 

Not sure what Nappe will do regarding the server glitch and this race result, but it was nice to feel "on the pace" and able to compete for the win.

There was no server glitch, but a huge crash instead. Started by yours truly.   2002Ti could do well past 240 kph and in those speeds, the corner entrances turn out to be very very critical even on corners that are "easy" with heavier cars.

 I did small mistake in when turning in and had to lift off the throttle. That caused understeer taking me very outside. Snapped the small pole, which needed another correction and after that there was too little time to do nothing before hitting the building taking me up in the air and rolling. I ended up on three wheels almost exactly same spot and engine still running where I hit the house, but with no idea which direction to take and history has thought me to do nothing and wait the others pass. Unfortunately Paul and Kurt came side by side with in 4 seconds after my collision and that launched another set of crashes.

After all this, I started to slowly progress to pits, but after half a kilometer or so, engine had enough and it was all there.

For the TC Championships I decided to make some result changes allocating the points to correct drivers:
As eventually I was the guy who truly was dropped out of the race first, I made so that I was the last one in scores. Paul and Kurt kept the positions in which they were when they arrived to hit point and rest of the guys as the results showed

For the Endurance Cup, percentage of race distance covered is needed to score points, so results stand there and only 3 drivers scored points from this one.

Congrats to NocAtu for well deserved win. This was really harsh race, but mixing 1970's cars with track from 1950's with almost no modifications during the years was deadly combination in real life too.
