Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 0

The pacelap was very untidy at this event, eventually resulting in a pile up as the cars came onto the start finish straight to begin the race. Backo, who led the field around, set a very fast pace earlier in the lap but then slowed down almost to a complete stop in the final sector. This may have been to allow the cars behind to close up but it was not a wise plan.
Backo is first contacted by the unsuspecting Jure and then there is a lot of minor collisions behind as drivers try to avoid each others stopped cars.

The polesitter should aim for a pace lap speed of 120kmh on the straights, which is very important in multiclass racing to allow the slower classes to keep up.

  • BACKOwarning — failure to follow the start procedure rules
  • BACKOcaution — excessive speed on the pace lap

Server replay time: 376s

Jure is following Dave Gymer down the back straight and is behind as they reach the braking zone. Dave brakes for the corner and Jure, who brakes relatively late, runs out of space and contacts Dave as he turns in for the chicane.
Dave had every right to take the corner and Jure did not get alonside before turn-in. Anyway this was not an ovetaking attempt - Jure did not move right until he realised he had nowhere to go - but Jure should have shown more caution on the first lap.
Normally first lap contact is a 3 place penalty but I'm reducing this because it was not an intentional overtaking move and Jure waited for Dave to continue.

Just checking where the pit entry point is in Enna??

am I right in assuming it is where the lights and line are....right at the very beggining of the lane..?

Apparently (blame Ruskus if it's wrong) it's where the tarmac changes colour (past pit lane entry/lights, just before the armco "chicane").

Always blame it on me  Grin, saves you alot of time Tongue Cheesy.

The pit entrance IS where the track changes colour, so it's NOT at the lights. Try for yourself, drive into the pits and see where the computer engages the limiter.

And no, I'm not trying to get my revenge for tuesdays race by giving false info  Wink

Not really been doing alot of laps, but I was in the 1:37's with some room to improve. So I think the speed is around the Vertigo.

Well that was daft of me! Qualied behind Simon and was very pleased since I hadn't used a qualy setup and had barely driven the beast.  Grin

First lap was oh-so-careful, then after a bit of trying to chase down 7th place, I slammed into the first chicane tyres - but the car was fine! They build these strong I thought...  Cool
Except after building up my confidence again and going faster...I did it again...this time I'm pretty sure it was broken  laugh

Simon also sacrificing himself to flip Dave onto his roof (what happened there?!). Had massive understeer with the Viper, even with rear wing off and softs on the front. Oh well, I was compensating by turning in earlier and harder so the chicane moment was bound to happen sooner or later  Tongue

Congrats to whoever the podium guys will be!  Cool

pffweew i had a good race untill i slammed into the tyres.

the race went pretty well until my accident, finally could get some descent race pace to stay in the neighborhood of Picnic untill he had to do i pitstop. I thougt to push a bit harder to get some distance so i could keep my 3e place when i had to do my pitstop. it could have worked Smiley
