Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 0

The pacelap was very untidy at this event, eventually resulting in a pile up as the cars came onto the start finish straight to begin the race. Backo, who led the field around, set a very fast pace earlier in the lap but then slowed down almost to a complete stop in the final sector. This may have been to allow the cars behind to close up but it was not a wise plan.
Backo is first contacted by the unsuspecting Jure and then there is a lot of minor collisions behind as drivers try to avoid each others stopped cars.

The polesitter should aim for a pace lap speed of 120kmh on the straights, which is very important in multiclass racing to allow the slower classes to keep up.

  • BACKOcaution — excessive speed on the pace lap
  • BACKOwarning — failure to follow the start procedure rules

Server replay time: 376s

Jure is following Dave Gymer down the back straight and is behind as they reach the braking zone. Dave brakes for the corner and Jure, who brakes relatively late, runs out of space and contacts Dave as he turns in for the chicane.
Dave had every right to take the corner and Jure did not get alonside before turn-in. Anyway this was not an ovetaking attempt - Jure did not move right until he realised he had nowhere to go - but Jure should have shown more caution on the first lap.
Normally first lap contact is a 3 place penalty but I'm reducing this because it was not an intentional overtaking move and Jure waited for Dave to continue.

I know Ruskus that was me,person with bad behaviour.I'm sorry!!!, was my fault, late on brake and pushed you. Was  very tough race
and frist couple laps I didn't concentrated proper and I did lots mistakes!!!,almost twice I finished race sooner.!!!Sorry anyone for hit from me!!!Siya soon on track!
What a terrible pace lap, is it so hard to do 70-80mph for 1 lap Huh.

Saw some really bad behaviour, but I'll keep that private.

I was on a roll tonight. Near the end I was in 3rd and it looked like I would stay there untill the finish. And that would have been 3rd overall, not in the GT3 class  Grin. But I tried to go faster and faster through Schumacher and the last time I did it the fastest. So I flew over the barrier with only my seat left Tongue. Real shame as it would have been a daft result in the Viper CC, coming in 3rd overall  Grin

that was a fun race! managed a 1m41 in the GT3 Cup Car so was well chuffed  Cool quicker thank some RSRs !!  Shocked

...it started well with some good fights in the first half of the race with some Vertigo's.... then picnic spun his massa after the first chicane and i spun avoiding him, desperate not to take out a full time driver when i was guest!!  Lips Sealed ....shortly after first pitstop i broke my suspension and ended up pitting 3 times in the end! ruining any chance of a top 10 finish!!!

...somegreat fair racing! grats R24-7 ladssss  Grin

Yeah, that really was daft. When there are only 24 starters really the game should be allocating everyone their own pit box, there must be enough at Enna,

There are only 17 spots at Enna.

Unlike my wussy team-mates I've always enjoyed Enna but the pit-lanes being limited to 17 is ridiculous given that there's no way to tell in anyone is in 'your' spot. I'd have been gutted if I'd lost out last night because Shark was in the same pit-bay that I'd been assigned to.

Maybe Enna should head for the scrap-heap  Undecided

Sorry I missed this one but still on holiday at the moment.

Looks like a very interesting race to see the least.

Backo will now be hot favourite for the championship after yet another win. Looks like he was in a class of his own since his fastest lap was almost 4 seconds quicker than the next driver, that is a massive difference!

I will be back from holiday later in the week to resume racing

It has happened to me a couple of times now.

However what I have noticed if you press the pit request button it will only tell you to come in if nobody is in your pit bay.

Not sure if it will do the same if somebody requests a stop and both drivers on course though.

It would be helpful to all if people press there pit request button and not turning up unannounced

Well reading that post demolition derby race result and hearing that it only supports 17 cars WTF do we bother racing here Huh

Why not try out a couple of the brilliant other circuits that have been modded and are used succesfully by other online leagues, like Zaandvoort, Zolder, Adria, Road America..etc etc. The add-on tracks have done wonders to the GTL racing and i'm sure a few of us are getting a bit bored racing the same old tracks since early GTR1 days.

FWIW, I always use the pit request, I'm not totally sure at what point on the track I requested it last night though, I wait for a long straight so the annoying pit-crew response doesn't distract me.

It's not exactly the first time it's happened, it just seems there's a much higher chance of it happening with 17 pit bays. I can't believe a modern race circuit is like that though Huh

The vast majority of tracks only have about 15 spots. Only Spa has enough for a full field to all pit at once. You know perfectly well that many of the add on tracks have problems with spurious flags and cut warnings, garages that don't work, grid slots out of position and bad segment joins.

Its quite amazing how many similarities there were between our enna race and the F1 gp in Canada.

the F1 suffered 5 (if I remember rightly) safety cars on track, the worse accident seen for many years, drivers making mistakes in critical areas, pit lane confusion and stacked cars waiting for fuel, complaints about the garage space .....

sounds familiar !  Grin

Well, that was a disaster - didn't have time to practice here really, as to busy trying to fine tune my system all weekend.
I realise now why a lot of drivers dislike this track - one wrong move through one of the chicanes and race over - that was me!
My set-up was terrible, with the back end all over under braking - just modded my RSR Dubai set-up, and it showed...

Anyway - congrats to all who managed to finish, and all who entered.
