Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: There are no start lights. Suggest the start countdown feature be turned on. 1 point awarded for fastest lap in each race.

Confused over Minis here; can only see the 970S in the download - is the S 1275 the standard GTL one?

I was confused too on last race, always focused on Nappe's 1275:

yes - the 1275 in the car allowance means the standard one

(I always thought the standard GTL one would have been a 1000 -  not really familiar with minis  tho'  Roll Eyes )

Yep, standard Mini in GTL is a 1275, although lots of mods were done around it of either bigger or smaller engines...

In the second race, I did the same thing in the second race two weeks ago, namely, I didn't put it in first gear at the start.*&^%$#@!I know I suck but forgetting to put it in gear twice, maybe the straw.

Two quite different races, with #1 being the most interesting.

Was jumped by Geoffers at the start of race 1, and Dan squeezing past later on L1 was definitely not part of the plan.  He got past Geoffers as well, so if I wanted to get back at him, I had to find a way past Geoff, who was holding me up (not often I get to say that...  laugh, but the 1275 Mini was quicker than the Abarth).  Got past on the back straight, only to lose the position again after bad exits from chicane & T1.  One more attempt needed, making it stick this time.  Had just about caught up to Dan when I went off at St.Mary's, having to do the hard work once more.  Was late in the race when I was just about there, but this time I put a rear wheel out at St.Mary's, which promptly sent the car sideways.  With this I had given the class win to Dan, so ironic that he then botched a go at Daz at Layant seconds later, diving into the gravel and gifting me the win instead.

Race 2 a rather quiet affair in comparison.  Chased after Micha & Fulvio, but they slipped away.  Geoffers wasn't far behind me, but suddenly the gap jumped, so he must have gone off. Gap increasing steadily after that, so race got lonelier by the lap.

Grats to overall & class winners & pods

Couple of good events in their own way.

Race 1, after trying at least 4 other cars I saw Geoff in the Abarth and just couldn't resist. Pinched an old setup to just try, seemed OK, found some pace for quali so all good. Abarth can normally jump the Minis off the line, but then gets obliterated in a straight line after, not so much here! Lap 1 I had such a good tow from Fulvio that the Abarth on its long gears I had one nearly went into the back of the Cortina he was driving, I guess on shorter gears. Gathered it up, and started to look in the mirrors at the traffic behind wondering who was going to be first to zoom on up. Turned out that Dan and Erling were so busy having a good time between themselves that they seemed unwilling to come and play, at least until Dan eventually got close enough for a go, but the braking went a bit wrong for him! In all seriousness, I was pushing absolutely flat out to maintain the gap to try to hold an unlikely podium, so the flag was a welcome sight. Great fun though.

Chanced my arm on the slower Anglia for race 2. Felt like it was going quite well around the circuit, but the clock said its progress was glacial! I'm guessing it must be by some distance the slowest of the cars, was getting mugged by everything on anything remotely resembling a straight, even 970 Minis were leaving me for dead. Made getting a result out of it night on impossible, but it was fun to drive around to be fair, just needs a few more gee-gees as the handling is quite sweet. At least it is out of the way....

All good fun, since when was Goodwood anything but....
