Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: 1 point awarded for fastest lap in each race. There are no start lights. Suggest the start countdown feature be turned on. Avoid going off at Knickerbrook. There is a hole in the surface that you may fall into. Also avoid the RH side of the track by the first tree on the RH side after the pit lane exit. There is an invisible obstacle there.

I wonder what Geoffers will do when the UK Gov bans Nitrous Oxide? It must be a concern for him as his Mini will not be as fast without it  Roll Eyes

Grats to podiums and class winners in both races.

Race 1
I has a couple of drives left for the Mini Cooper S and the Super Anglia so thought that I would use them at Oulton. First car off the transporter was the Mingy, which intially felt like the usual total lemon. But from somewhere ( muscle memory? 'cause there ain't much other memory functioning now!!) the required driving technique kicked in and I found some decent pace.
After the expected paint swap at T1 and T2 things sorted themselves out and I found myself in a race long battle with Kurt's Mustang. Classic David and Goliath, with the V8 running away on the straight bits and a tyre screaming Mini closing up through the corners  Grin Grin Grin. Less than a second between us at the flag. What tin top racing is all about IMHO.

Race 2
After the Mini the Anglia just felt wrong and I took too long to find the sweet spot. In fact at Clearways on Lap 1 I had a very awkward moment on two wheels!! which I just about survived. Trying too hard and making mistakes was the essence of that race and watching Daz extract some very quick times from the Imp in the latter stages.

Little wonder that the Anglia did not take the corner too well??

Maybe I should have aimed for Cascades?

No nitrous needed Clive, just a Metro Turbo motor.  Grin

Good races & looking at the points it is going to be fun at the Brands finale.

First race I was hoping to battle for the win but Daz was way too fast & so it ended up a battle for 2nd with DD (good to see him here again). Thought I had it in hand at half distance but I must have cooked my tyres as the rest of the race was a battle to stop the car understeering off the track & it inevitably led to DD claiming the place with a couple of laps left.

Initially it looked like I may have been able to sneak a win in race 2 until DD swapped his Anglia for an Alfa!. Still the Mini was good enough for 2nd on the grid but a poor start & then running wide a T1 meant it took a few laps to reclaim 2nd. Was never going to match DD's pace so just concentrated on keeping it on track. Not sure how I managed that 1.48 on the final lap, it was nearly a second faster than any other lap I did.  Huh

Congrats to Daz & DD on the wins & to all the class winners.  clap clap clap
