Best wishes Madd  yes

Races at Enna are never boring. But this race I wasn't pushing. So my fastest racelap was kinda poor. Luckily I did a 26 in qually  Smiley.

At the start I could drive away, but then it stalemated. Gap stayed the same and later Backo came closer. But I guess he was making errors, as everytime the gap shot up again.
I was quite sure about my pitstop strategy, so even if he would have overtaken, I thought I would come out of pits infront.
But when I was in 2nd and Backo in 1st, and he had to pit, the gap was 1 minute. So I thought I'd never be on time. But surprisingly I was, and not only that, I had a 35s lead afterwards Shocked. Which was only 7s when I enetered the pits. Dunno if he had damage, but it's weird. My stop was only 45s, so to stand still for 90s. What happened Backo?

Then I had to drive to the finish and not crash like I did at Clubmen enduro  Grin.

Shame about your stop Jon. We were at TeamSpeak and we calculated 45 laps max, so if only you would have been there  Wink.

I think I saw Dave's CC a$$ about a million times. Can't get the image out of my head Tongue

I was looking forward for this endurance but happened what happened and I finished like 6  Sad.I don't understand what happened but Ruskus when you went in pit ,you've been about 7 sec in front me then I've got fuel for about 4 or 5 laps which I did without any crash ,after that I went in pit ,when I come back I was second and loosing 35 sec Shocked!!!I couldn't believe it!!!After that I started to push and  I did lap record  Shocked!!!!!!!!!!!also lots mistace Angry(2x stop and go penalty also I destroyed my car)  Sad.Congrats to winners !!! Wink

Thats why there was a big gap between us and the GT1's. Smiley

Actually I thought it was good the gap so that us GT2s stay out of any GT1 trouble on the first lap. Back in the old day when I used to occasionally get pole in NGT in GTR1 I did sometimes purposely leave a bit of a gap to the GT1s just so we could have our own race uncompromised by lap 1 GT1 mess ups.

After seeing Madd leave I seriously thought about leaving. Hope everything turns out ok Madd.

I did decide to stay but it was a very poor race, I think I span 3 times, got a stop/go for speeding in pit lane and generally had a very inconsistant race.

Thank god its over

Calculating the maximum amount of laps is dead easy:

A real race lasts 180 minutes or 500km

The UKGTR races last 80 minutes or 222 km.

Enna is 4,9 km long. So that makes 222/4,9= 45 laps maximum. I fueled up for that amount of laps and finished with 8L left as the race was 44 laps long. Then you can check if the race will finish with laps or time, by multiplying the amount of laps by the expected average race pace. I suspected 1:29-1:30. 45*1,5= 68 minutes. With pace lap and pitstop it would be around 70 minutes.

But remember, all the UKGTR named tracks (editted c/t protection) will ALWAYS finish with time, and NOT laps. So races at Enna (when editted), Monza and Spa will finish after 80 minutes, and not shorter due to laps.

After spending nearly all weekend watching Le Mans and the F1 race i thought i had best pass on racing, especially for a non points race, as didnt want my balls served up on a platter by my better half. wacko

By the sounds of it i didnt miss much Undecided....we should have had a Le Mans special event race !! Cool  Anyone tried it in GTR2 yet? Its a fantastic track, really well re-produced using the games better graphics.
We could have had a fantastic race here with changeable weather (like the real event!) and a combined endurance grid of masters and clubmen using 2x weather scaling and tyre/fuel wear. Cool...maybe one to consider for the future?

I'm well aware of how to calculate the race distance, in S1 I won the enduro at Enna by not stopping atall in the 550 which baffled a few people Cheesy  I simply want clarification that races wont be artificially forced to finish at the time limit rather than the correct time or distance limit, because I have a vague memory of someone saying all races would be forced to run for the full 80 minutes in S5 regardless of the distance.

You heard incorrectly then. Simon said something like: All the UKGTR tracks (the ones editted with stricter c/t warnings) will ALWAYS finish on time and not laps. Enna is not editted and therefore will finish on laps, as 222km comes before 80 minutes.

You can check the maximum possible number of laps because GTR2 displays it in the top right of the pit monitor screen.
