OK thanks David. Do you want the Privateers over 13 laps too?

What a track! I hadn't driven this until this morning. Just spent an hour, mostly admiring the scenery, but have finally popped in a 3:45. Way off the pace of the front runners but at least I now know which way the road goes. This is going to be a tough race in the 67cars which I'll enjoy watching from the back. GLA.

Having an interesting time remembering how to set a car up and what to look out for. Looks like I'm in the Honda tomorrow. I've been maxxing out on the long bits at 10,500rpm with no wiggle room for drafting... i clearly need to lengthen things for drafting, but can anyone tell me what max revs should be for the Honda to have half a chance of the engine lasting the race? Cheers n

IMHO Colin you are about on the limit in reliability terms.

From experience you might get away with 11K revs once or twice, but you would be dicing with death in the long term. At 10500K you have a small cushion for "over enthusiastic" gearshifts. Of course. it all hangs on the GPL gods not throwing a gremlin into the mix and screwing all your best plans.

I have driven Beal before, but it was several years ago and I will need to do a refresher session before this evening. BUT more importantly ..... I am currently watching the Goodwood Revival on TV ...................decisions decisions  Undecided

This track has a bit of everything. Braking on crests, blind corners, fast corners, slow corners, jumps and elevation changes etc. A real test of skill. I've no idea how hard it is to overtake safely because I've only done hot laps but I think we'll have to be careful; the scenery is unforgiving.

Cheers for that Clive. Just one typo - I was hitting *11*.5 revs, not 10.5. I keep making the gears longer and longer it's still going up to 11.. so just like Spinal Tap drummers, maybe my engine will spontaneously combust...

Just got something with good feel and might go to 11.1 drafting, that'll have to do. Must relearn how these engines work...

Track isn't slippery Fulvio. Very challenging but good fun.

It does have two flagmen at the start finish line, and the one with the flag is a look left job for the poleman... as Tris found out to his cost. Baab and I had noticed that in practice races, forgot to mention it before the start... must confess I did let out a guilty laugh as we all shot passed Tris, but karma is a bitch and I broke down at the end of the first lap...

Also, worth mentioning that in qually I span and rejoined pointing the wrong way. Got DQd, so I rejoined as Arf66 - is that OK, or should I have gone for an early bath?

Cheers
