Seems more enjoyable in F2 with unlimited resets, that's for sure!

Let's just hope there will be no accident at the start ...(see what happened in Watkins Glen) !

The first sector of this track is not easy at all.

I'm not sure anyone can win here, a track every bit as mean as the Ring and Dundrod, but faster. There are endless places for a car to be snagged or rendered undriveable, and a recovery from any spin between 91o-269o is next to impossible. I have run against the AIs in full race conditions every day since our last outing and haven't gotten beyond 10.5 laps yet.

This may be worth trying...

In the beal60s track folder,   there is a _UNZIP_ME_OPTIONS.zip  file.
Open/extract it,  you will come across folder _Asphalt_Clear
Copy the 6x .mip files within that folder to the main beal60s track folder

It's a bit hard to tell, but from the screenshots on page http://srmz.net/index.php?showtopic=14335&st=20#entry160089   looks as though this may help a bit.

However, I'm not sure if they overwrite existing files or not  (I may have already copied them on my installation!).
So you may want to make a copy of the following files first (if they exist) which are already in beal60s:
  • Abfahrt.mip
  • AspAdd1.mip
  • AspAdd2.mip
  • AspAdd3.mip
  • AspAdd4.mip
  • Asphalt1.mip

Than, to undo the change if required,  delete the new files & copy your original files back again.

Cheers,
Dave.

I followed these directions and backed up the referenced MIP files. I cannot detect that there is a substantive improvement with the replacement files. I'll stay with the new files just in case I'm missing something subtle. YMMV. I hope it does.

Was this on-line using the practice server? If so, have you got the Track Gap Freeze patch installed?

If it was off-line there is some guidance on this page under Trouble Shooting.

I haven't had any problems, so I think the track is inherently stable.
