Well I hope that puts to bed the myth that all Sharks are aliens, a decidedly average showing today Tongue

Car felt awful all qualy & race, big understeer everywhere followed by snap oversteer added that this track is my least favourite and my setup knowledge is pretty awful (most of my teamates spent ages on TS trying to explain to me what dampers and rebounds do - I'm still not sure if higher pressures make the tyres hotter or cooler, lol)

Stuck behind Simon until a couple of mistakes lead Purdie very close to me, then spun twice at that b*st*rd chicane on successive laps putting me down to 12th or 13th. I knew that was it as I was going flat out to stay in 7th, but had a good battle with Jonzo and particularly Mark MCclean, gd racing Smiley

Annoyed to be down in 8th, but pleased to have got a few points and lucky to keep 2nd overall. Bara must have had a weird problem - very lucky for me as finally the equal performance thing we had going was smashed tonight. I was miles off!

Help Dave, I've followed the instructions but made Zacari 8th and not 3rd :'(

Now corrected.

I don't know why people don't like Imola. It's not as good as it was in the up to 1994 era but it's still got great flow and some challenging corners. Smiley

and having said that it appears for some reason that Gazza49er isn't scoring any team points? Sad

According to his driver history page, he's only registered himself for team points in the Endurance Clubmen.

Congratulations on the championship win Jeff and to FreQ for 2nd making it a one-two for team shark with one of those sneaky Junior boys just clawing his way into 3rd in the last race.  Tongue A great result for Team Shark with the team title and well doneo to R24-7 and the Junior boys for the runners up Wink places.

Another testament to the ballasting pack with 4 different types of cars in the top 4 and no runaway winners.

A bit of a shambles that race for me too! Didn't have much practice at all. Managed to qualify 8th then nipped of for a quick wee in the warmup. Race start and as we pull away I realise I can't hear anything through the headphones. What I have done is managed to sit down on the long headphone cable and also moved the volume on the control. Picture me with feet still on pedals trying to lift my arse up with one hand steering while trying to fish the cable out with the other! Grin Eventually went off at Tosa but apologies to Purdie who was behind me for my erractic driving! While waiting for the field to go by I managed to sort myself out.

Got passed a few cars in the early laps and came up upon Dave in the vette. He was quick where he needed to be and I couldn't find a safe opportunity to pass. Eventually got a good run out of Variante Alta and with a bit of slipstream and 575 grunt was able to outbrake into Rivazza.

Had a few clear laps and then came up to MJ. He was quicker through certain corners but I had the edge down the straight. I was also overheating the rears a bit so once again couldn't find a safe place or get close enough to make a move. I had an coming together with a back marker but he had another incident so I was back up behind him in the last few laps.

Dunno what happened to the next two cars up the road but I was nowhere near them at the start of the last lap, then reeling them in hand over fist towards the flag. Maybe the lapped car?

I need to do some serious testing before the weekend if I'm going to be anything but a moving chicane in the Clubmen Endurance!

That was me and MJ. I got a good run out of the final chicane just before the start off the last lap. I got alongside on the left at the starting lines but as the road kinks left after the start\finish we came together and both went off. I haven't seen the replay and I wasn't sure either at the time who was at fault so decided then to keep positions to the finish case it was me. MJ then spun at Variante Alta I guess dur to damage so I waited for him for the same reason.

Dave if its any help the only place I was significantly faster than you (apart from slightly under braking) was at the first left at Villeneuve. I could gain quite a few car lengths there although you were quick enough through the right corner after it to make any attempt into Tosa impossible.

Congrats to podium and Ruskus on the championship!

Yes, thanks Paul R, that was very decent of you at the race end after our coming together to allow me back through.  angel
Not sure what happened with the high speed contact, i saw you had the run on me down the straight and so stayed over to the left as far as i could without changing line but then felt the nudge and went flying off into the barriers, must have been the kink that caused us to compress together. Racing incident as far as i can tell without seeing the replay.  Undecided
And yes, my car was shaped like a 50 pence piece after that and even though i went through the chicance fairly gingerly, the car still span around, so again, thanks for letting me continue ahead. We had a worrying spell there where it was a case of 'after you, no after you'...and DG nearly caught up and nipped through ! Grin
Good clean racing otherwise.

I'm still mystified why my setups turned so pear shaped on the night...bet one of those shark scamps put peanut butter on my tyres again  Wink

It was KY Jelly.  Shocked
We normally use it to keep the cars slippery and wet, but you must have picked some up on your tyres on your way past winners enclosure.
