Championship Standings here Grid/server capacity: 22 Pm WT for series downloadTrack: Monza GP (1970's) Not the 10k route. Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins) Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins) Drivers must not leave qualifying to change car makeRace: 20:40 (31 laps) Car restrictions: Check your car availability hereTime of Day Setting: 14:00 Start: STANDING Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Pit stops: Maybe requiredServer: simracing.org.uk Monday Password: see aboveNotes: (1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read Autopit="0" Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable. Special Notes: None.

Pit lane whispers
The two fastest cars are the Merc and the Mustang but they will both need a fuel stop to complete the race.
The BMW and Opel compete for next best.
The Capri and Camaro will be fighting for the final places.

IMPORTANT
The rule for bonus drives is changed.
Bonus Drives A bonus drive may only be taken, in a car that has been driven once before. Bonus drives can be used on the same car twice, or on two different cars.

Tony, I'm confused about the cars. The Mustang for example; looking in the file I downloaded, its folder is named '1969 Boss302 Mustang' and contains two cars; 9 & 33. In GTL however, I have several 1969 Boss302 Mustang from our previous series, named as such, while 9 & 33 just shows up as 'Ford Mustang'

The Division 3 of the 1971 ETCC had Ford Mustangs called "Mach 1". The Boss Mustang is the closest match I could find. I chose the two available as they seemed the most "European".

Hiho
That was a fine race, thank you very much, it was fun! Without the first lap, my tactics would have definitely worked, try to drive away from the beginning and then short splash and dash. So max P2 would have been possible without Chris' accident in lap 30, but I didn't want to win like that. Whoever manages 31 laps with the Mercedes with this tire wear deserves the victory. Great driving Chris!
Glück auf!

Thanks for your honesty Micha, but I made a mistake, you should have taken the victory

First apologies again to Micha for punting him off at Parabolica on lap 1, just could not get that big bus to stop in time even though I braked at my normal point. It did make for an interesting race though & it was fun working my way through the field. Eventually got up to 3rd chasing Chris but he was lapping at a similar pace & 3s was as close as I got. Original plan was to stop at half distance for tyres but they still felt good despite the rapid wear so I continued, but towards the finish they were becoming a real handful. Got to 2nd when Micha pitted but he soon caught me & got ahead into the Parabolica with one lap to go, I tried to get a good exit & maybe get past on the S/F straight but only succeeded in spinning out allowing the impressive Opel of Ziu to go past too. That all didn't matter in the end as half way around the final lap I got a "NET Framework has encountered a problem" message across the middle of my screen & could not see where I was going . Fortunately I was a long way ahead of Manfred & was able to slowly get to the finish looking to the trackside to see where I was without losing a further place. Last laps are not being good to me recently it seems. Congrats to Chris, Micha & Ziu on the podium.

I downloaded the replay file again but it's still not working. Trace file suggests the problem is Error loading global material LEDSLAnyone had success with their replay?

I downloaded the replay file again but it's still not working. Trace file suggests the problem is Error loading global material LEDSLAnyone had success with their replay? Not me; causes GTL to crash. Race a bit nondescript. Had virtually no time for practice or trying out the various cars, so settled for the Capri as the faster of the two I tried, Camaro being the other. I figured the relatively minimal braking here might keep the Capri's raison d'etre - to swap ends under braking - somewhat in check. Not sure what happened at the start & Parabolica on L1, but net result was I wound up in front of several faster drivers. They recovered and passed one by one. Had a brief intermezzo with Manfred in another Capri, but of course without any chances of competing with him. Rather lonely after he had passed and went away. Passed Fulvio in the pits late in the race, but he had enough time to catch up and reclaim the position. Grats to Chris & podium.

I have tried my local version and the download Tony, neither are working. They have different timestamps which I don't think is usual either. I wanted to check which bit of barrier I was actually pointed at on the grid....Perhaps the faults are linked...
