Championship Standings here

Grid/server capacity: 22

Pm WT for series download

Track: Paul Ricard ('75 Long)

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins) No car make change allowed once Qualifying has started.
Race: 20:40 (22 laps)

Car restrictions: Check your car availability here

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit stops: Not required

Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

Good race, but rather disappointed at being so slow compared with DD & Alvaro, particularly as I had been competitive against DD in the Mustang before.

Did have fun holding off Manfred's Commodore for many laps until I put a wheel off track through the first few sweepers & the car got away from me. Luckily I had a big enough gap back to the chasing pack to only lose the one place.

Congrats to DD, Alvaro & Manfred on the podium.  clap clap clap

Tough race.  Heavy alien turnout meant a good result was never an option, so surprised that a couple of new pbs were enough to land me a relatively heady 4th on the grid.

Dreadfuld start, bogging down completely. Had to stab the clutch to get some revs, but by then almost the entire field had streaked past.  Both regained and lost positions on L1.  Next I was chasing Clive, passing him on the straight. Followed this up with a pass on Micha. He remained a constant threat behind me, at most 5-6 secs back.  In earlier races, I have had him shadow me for almost the entire race, with almost machine like consistency, to finally get me in the end. Sooo frustrating, and I feared the same would happen here, as my tyres would surely evaporate faster than his.

Shortly after, a dust plume signalled a recovering Daz.  Chased him as hard as I could over the next several laps.  What I gained on the straights, he would reclaim and then some through the curvy bits, eventually pulling away again.   Later, another plume would prove to be Daz in trouble again, this time not rejoining before I had passed him.  Chase on again with reversed roles. My tyres hadn't gotten better since last, so inexorably, he would draw closer.  Sadly ended with him flying off, in avoidance action under an overtake attempt.

While all this was going on, just as feared, Micha had pulled closer.  Thankfully race ended before I could lose my place to him.

Grats to DD & pod!!

Bought some new pedals last week, and this was the first race with them. Quietly hoping my rather more offs than usual is down to a settling in period, and nothing else.

Was hoping the Capri might be just enough to stay with the Mustangs, but it was a vain hope. Manfred was also blisteringly quick in the Opel, so trying to hang on to the guys at the front was doomed to fail, and it did. Then a couple of errors meant I was behind Erling, but whilst my rear tires were indeed worse for wear, I was massively quicker on parts of the lap, and got totally hoodwinked in the braking zone into that first chicane, prompting a huge dive just to miss him. That essentially was that as there just was not enough time to get back to him and Micha, as he had gone through also.

Good fun as always, so mustn't grumble  thumbup2
