Good race for me for a change. New to me track but it flows nice. Still a few corners and braking points to improve on. But other than one small touch of a kerb that slewed me of track, overall a great bit of fun. New pb and some really great laps with Eric.
Thanks mods.

Wow, that was tense! Philippe was in his own galaxy tonight, and won going away. The next four --- Cookie, Ricardo, David, and me --- were one-quarter of a second apart in qualifying. I knew there would be no relaxing here on this beautiful fantasy track and I wasn't wrong. Ricardo had an off on L5 trying to overtake me and dropped back behind David. Cookie took a bad hit against the wall at the end of L12 and retired three laps later with a failing engine. That put me in second, nine seconds behind Philippe, but I gave up my position to Ricardo with a spin of my own later in the lap. And that was the finishing order: Philippe, Ricardo, me, and David, all within about 15 seconds. What a great race and what a great way to spend a Sunday evening (well, late afternoon here in the U.S.).

last weekend, when i was walking in london and i met the devil of keith richards, in his edith grove residence, he said to me: philippe, be careful, road america is the most difficult track in this season. I listened to his advice, as always, and it worked. pole position, successful start, during the first 2 laps, axel about to pass me, which seemed logical. And then, until his abandonment, I realized a slight gap with him. I was in good shape, that goes without saying! Towards the end, I eased the pressure a bit, while still watching Ricardo's return. I wanted to save the engine. I finished the race in a sweat, I was focused until the end. Well done grandpa, ricardo, david and all the finishers the last race in nassau will be decisive. To relax, I'm going to listen to a good old Rolling Stones record!

Great race, Philippe ! Now, you just have to finish the race at Nassau to win the championship.
Pepe was very quick too, and I never had any possibility to overtake him.
Now for the final 2nd position for ze championship, between Pepe and me, it will be like between Charles Leclerc and Chico Perez !

Great race, Philippe ! Now, you just have to finish the race at Nassau to win the championship. If he finishes fourth or better at Nassau, he wins outright. Otherwise you and I have a small chance. Now for the final 2nd position for ze championship, between Pepe and me, it will be like between Charles Leclerc and Chico Perez! I liked Perez' chances in that last race, but it wasn't meant to be. At Nassau I'll have to beat you by more than you'd have to beat me. Get ahead of me and stay there and second overall is yours. Even if we tie on points, you'd win the tiebreaker because of your two wins against my one. Well done grandpa, ricardo, david and all the finishers. "Grandpa," indeed. When you get to be my age, you'll be pushing a walker, not driving an F1 car.

When World War III starts, it will probably be because Google Translate screwed up some message from Putin to Biden. Before this becomes further confused, I think I need to explain why I am Robert (or Bob) to the entire world outside of GPL and Pepe within that smaller community. When I was in high school, I transferred into a beginning Spanish class six weeks after it had begun. I'd been studying French at that point for two years and it wouldn't be a problem catching up. The real problem was that my name was Robert and there already was a Robert in the class. I needed a new nickname. The teacher suggested that I be called Pepe, which was a Spanish slang for "Joe." That's how I first became Pepe. The second time I changed names was more than six years ago when I started driving in the oAo league. When I signed up there was an American Bob, a Canadian Bob, a Dutch Robert, and an Italian Roberto. I resurrected the nickname Pepe and instructed my fellow drivers that my new name was to be pronounced PehPeh, not PeePee. I don't even remember when I switched names from Bob to Pepe in UKGPL. I do remember, however, that about a year ago I mentioned in a post-race report that I'd just had my 30,000th birthday. So Cookie is right: I turned 83 last month and have grandchildren older than some of the guys I race against. So I'm giving everyone fair warning here: If any guys named Pepe from Buenos Aires or grandfathers from Marseilles show up to drive in UKGPL (or oAo), they'd better get a new nickname; "Pepe" is already taken.

Nice one Robert, I take my hat off to you sir. Keep up the great driving Pepe. You are an inspiration to 64 year old youngsters such as myself. You know its such a small world... I had an uncle called Bob. ?
