Championship standings HERE

Grid/server capacity: 22

Pm WT for series download

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins) Drivers must not leave qualifying to change car make
Race: 20:40 (27 laps)

Track: Bahrain International Circuit (Sakhir GP)

Car restrictions: Check your car availability here

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: x2
Pit stops: Required

Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: On pit exit there is a white line across the pit lane after the pit out lights. For safety I would recommend leaving the pit lane limiter on until after you cross the white line.

Think I will have to give this a miss.  Can make no sense of the cars.  I have Sierra500 & Sierra500 WTCC, the former holding the one I've used earlier.  It's different from the WTCC one, in weight, power etc, but I can join the server with both Huh   Looking in the archive I downloaded, it would seem to hold all the cars distributed among the two options  Huh

With the Beemer, I have one already in my garage, called 'WTCC' that I have used before, but it seems not to match those in the archive - they appear separately in a non-WTCC group. Confusion complete here; should the cars be named WTCC or not?

Tony will correct me if I'm wrong, but the cars you need are the ones not labelled WTCC.

Sorry for the confusion.

Please use cars that are NOT labelled as WTCC. These are from a previously finished series.

EDIT: Maybe consider deleting all WTCC cars?

My own fault, but still miffed!! The Merc was on rails for me but I picked up 2 CUT TRACKS weaving around with Dan and then when he retired I found another one  oops

Managed to collect a SnG on my final lap of the first stint as I chased down Erling and Daz. So I had to perform the SnG and then limp around a lap with only an eggcup full of fuel.
The panic when I just rolled into the pits again ended with me only adding 2 litres of fuel and no tyres before I hit the ENTER key!!! race over  Undecided. Must practice pit stops!!!
Once again Tony, loved the car mix.

Grats to the podium and the finishers.

Good fun dicing with Tony for most of the race, I was, as usual slow in the pit stop, so Tony got in front, but I managed to catch and swoop
a pass into one of the tight right handers, and with new tyres managed to slowly pull away.

It wasn't until the last few laps I had any certainty of what corner was coming next... too many 1st gear corners that looked simila to me  Grin.

One of those races where the result was good but the race not too exciting.

I was surprised that so many took the less powerful cars on what to me seemed a track tailor made for power. The Holden was a delight to drive, not the quickest through the twisties & not the best on the brakes but very predictable handling, sounded great too. Start wasn't the best & with the poor braking Erling got ahead at T1, he was a little slow onto the straight behind the pits & Holden power got me into the lead. From then on it was just a case of reeling off the laps until a mid-race pitstop for fuel & tyres. I was a bit undecided on tyres as I had not tested a full race distance to see if they would last but as I had a fairly comfortable lead I decided to change them.
As the race wore on I became convinced it was the wrong option as Erling & Daz were a long way ahead & would probably only need a short refuelling stop. Fears subsided a bit when Erling stopped & I managed to pass as he was exiting the pits but Daz was still out in front with less & less laps left. Eventually he pitted & I breathed a sigh of relief when he was still in the pits as I went past. Just a matter of keeping it on track for the win after that.

Congrats to Daz & Erling on the podium.  clap clap

Wierd that you got a race over message one lap early Erling. Huh

Didn't think the track was that tricky to learn Matt, I had raced it recently in an rF2 race but didn't recall any difficulty getting to know it then.

Just a note on that rF2 race, we ran it in a night time setting under floodlights, looked really good, not sure if the GTL version is floodlit, but maybe an idea if we race here again.
