Championship standings HERE

Grid/server capacity: 22

Pm WT for series download

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (30 laps)

Track: Imola 2009 (GP), Italy

Car restrictions: Check your car availability here

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: x2
Pit stops: May be Required

Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

I notice it says 'Pit stops: Required', does this mean you must make a pitstop even if you can complete the race without? At Baku I completed the race in the BMW without stopping, so was that against the rules?

I suppose it should say "may be required".

If you don't need to make a stop then ignore.

Bit of a non event after lap 1, ran onto the grass at T1 & after that it was just a plod around on my own apart from 2 or 3 laps laughing at the angles Clive was getting the Holden at. Contemplated hanging around & watching for a while but he eventually let me past. Got an S/G shortly after, damn chicane, & then just pootled around to the end.

Congrats to Daz & Tony.  clap clap

Not around for Monaco next week (thankfully!) so see you all at Barcelona.

Grats to the podium ......oh! that is everyone except me in the finishers  Sad A little disappointed that the other 2 Holdens DNF'd as there might have been a little more racing instead of 20 laps of repetition?? I did try and delay Geoff for a few laps, but it was only a matter of time before he got past on his much fresher tyres ( and maybe a little more talent?).
Believe it or not....I thought that I was driving very conservatively in order to preserve tyres and fuel. It certainly did not feel too wild from my seat. But I agree with your opinion of the chicane, plus one or two other spots  where I was penalised!!!
I don't think that I have ever watched a replay from UKGTL, maybe I should give myself a scare and see these "angles" of which you speak??

Sorry for the hold up in lap1 Clive... I was uncertain of the braking, and after the brakes causing the car to dart in any direction except forwards
I gave up after yet another dodgy moment into the gravel.

Oh yes Cheesy; left Heidelberg this morning, being home by 18:30.  Visited the amazing tech museum in Sinsheim yesterday, on the way home.  Highly recommend for anyone who hasn't been there.
