Championship standings HERE

Grid/server capacity: 22

Pm WT for series download

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (24 laps)

Track: Circuit of the Americas (GP), USA

Car restrictions: Check your car availability here

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: x2
Pit stops: Probably required

Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

Will have to miss this one unfortunately - my old PC which I have continued to use for GTL, has apparently kicked the bucket.  Powers on, lights in leds, fans going, but no image on screen at all, so maybe the videocard.  Will have to test with an older one later if I can find a working one.

Built a new monster PC recently, but haven't been able to get GTL to look good on it, hence continuing on the old rig.  I tell video card drivers to ignore the in-game settings, and then improve the looks by setting AA & AF directly in the drivers.  This works on the old one, but not the new - no matter what setting I change or how, it still looks like crap, with shimmering lines all over, and frame rate staying constant, indicating my settings have no effect.   I also had problems getting FFB in the wheel to feel 'right', but guess I have to revisit it if the new rig is the only option now  Undecided

Well that was short.
Got wobbly in T1 trying to keep out of people's way and was up the inside
then was all over the road in the snakey part after that, managed to get
2x stop/go.... went in the pit, engine died, and I had no key to restart it
I have too many GTL installs, and I forget stuff

Videocard alright - putting an older one in, gave me an image on screen.  However, reinstalled the regular, supposedly defective one, and it worked again!  Maybe it's just jealous of the new rig, but the threat of being replaced by an even older card, made it come to its senses..  Roll Eyes

Got the old S/G habit again, this time I went in for the S/G & could not get the pitboard to come up, hadn't practiced a stop as wasn't going to have one so had no idea where to position the car. Without a reliable clutch I kept stalling it so gave up trying to go back & forth. Coming to the end of the road with GTL I think.  Sad
