Championship standings HERE

Grid/server capacity: 22

Pm WT for series download

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (34 laps)

Track: Interlagos (GP), Brazil

Car restrictions: Check your car availability here

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: x2
Pit stops: May be required

Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

Another quite interesting race.  Picked the Sierra, as it was by far the fastest of my remaining cars, for me anyway. Had to live with all the 1st gear corners then - anything to keep that propeller spinning..

Dreadful start as always with this car - bog totally down, or drown in wheelspin. Got jumped by the Beemers of Daz & Fulvio.  Made a move on the outside of the latter after the back straight. Bad idea; we rubbed shoulders and I was sent flying off, dropping to the bottom of the field.  Tony most graciously waved me past when I caught up to him.  Next up was the group of Matt, Clive & Fulvio. Matt had a small off, which I exploited to nip past.  Damn near took Clive out when he had a moment in the final turn before the sprint up the hill. Gave me the opportunity to outdrag him up the hill however.

Few more laps and I was closing in on Fulvio. Made a move at the end of the back straight, but then went a little wide in the corner, so Fulvio did a switcheroo on the inside. Once more we swapped paint, and once more I went on the grass, but at least kept driving this time.  Repeated the move next lap, this time keeping a tight line through the corner.  Took some laps, but eventually started to open a gap to Fulvio.  He joined me in the pits on lap 17. He didn't change tyres, as I did, but with the gap + time lost in the pits, we exited at the same time.  Sierra is impossible to get going with the limiter on, but didn't dare turn it off to rev the engine, for fear of landing a S/G.  Thus Fulvio got out ahead of me.  On his worn tyres against my brand new ones, he was a sitting duck however, and a small moment allowed me to slip past.

Quickly stretched the gap on my new rubber.  Up ahead, the leaders were pulling away as well, so in my own little bubble.  Towards the end though, things started to get very interesting. The 46 secs gap to the car ahead suddenly dropped to 31 secs. One lap later it was 21 secs, so clearly the driver was in trouble. One more lap and we were down to 10 secs, with one lap remaining.  Smelling blood for real now, I gave it all I could on my now worn tyres, but not enough - still 3 secs left when the race finished...

Grats to Ziu, and to Daz for pulling off the fuel saving after all, at least for taking 2nd!

Grats to Ziu and the podium finishers.

Much like Erling, there was not a lot of choice left on the transporter so I opted for the big Commodore. I fully expected that my driving combined with the V8 would shred the tyres...I was right lol. But the upside was a race long duel with Matt and his Merc  Grin. As long as I had some rubber on the rims I was just fast enough to stay ahead, but once grip levels dropped below a certain level Matt had the upper hand and so he took the flag before me.
Another upside was the pit stop for me. Finally I got it right  angel  and if the Commodore could have pulled away under the pit limiter I might have stolen Matt's place at least for a few more laps. Just Like Erling's Cossie, the great lumbering whale refused to go and I almost stalled 2 or 3 times just trying to get it moving, whilst I could see Matt leaving his pit box behind me lol.

The race flashed past in a race long battle with Matt that ended all too soon. Great Fun.
