Championship Standings

Example Setups:

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

Bit of an untidy race for me last night. Managed to spin out of the 1st chicane on power on L1. All my own doing Sad Then caught up Matt and I guess I caught the sausage curb at the last turn as the car spun out there while I was trying to pressure him. With Mark now just behind and faster I decided to let him go and try and stay with him rather than drive several scrappy laps and slow us both up while the tyres recovered.

That worked, we caught up with Matt with about 2 laps to go. Mark got straight passed after Matt had a very lurid moment. Did seem Matt's tyres were struggling as he was wide again before the end of the lap and I sneaked up along side. Mark then missed his braking point in to T1 while watch Matt and myself in his rear view mirror, I lucked therefore back in to 4th.

I'd like to pat myself on the back for a great race strategy but I can't really as it was 2 silly errors to start with that made the race what it was.

Well done to our Italian friends again, Leonardo was on a different planet again!

I was wondering why people were zooming up to me in corners, when I was already understeering
and had softened the front for max front grip. Perhaps I was abusing the tyres more than others?
I am enjoying these, though I am well off the pace. I can take that skill may be an issue, but I'm not
this bad in GTL, so maybe I just can't drive R3E cars so well.

Don't think I changed anything in the setup except for increasing tyre pressures to try and get them somewhere near the green. Stops crew chief moaning at me all the time my tyres are cold  Roll Eyes

I tried softening the front at the last race.. just introduced more understeer. I basically just stuck with the defaults as well tbh.

Please can i implore people to have some spacial awareness and not drive like they can take the racing line when someone is along side...It was only the second corner.

I apologize for having hit, but having no visibility of the bolts and no dashboard I have not seen, I have now equipped myself

Hmm, so.....For me lowering tyre pressure will warm the tyres up faster
in real life I have seen this to be true.

Softening the front ARB should give the inside front wheel more share of the
available grip. Again I know this to be true, and I have a cellar full of ARBs of various
weighting that I have experimented with on tracks.

Softening the springs and shocks should give better initial turn in, but might make the
car roll more into and out of corners, and I was getting some of that in this race
Maybe these cars do that anyway. Thanks for the advice, I will stick with the standard setup
more in future. I have found in previous series, particularly with front drive cars, that I overheat
the tyres and suffer for it, so maybe that makes more effect here, than other things.

If Matteo has sorted his bolts and a dashboard, perhaps he will see other cars better  Grin

I love the translator programmes, I remember someone from Italy wondering why we were talking
about the "white pig" being hard to drive. My translation into Italian I am sure would be entertaining as well....

Your thinking too hard Matt

Use the tyre display in the setup pages... basically increase the tyre pressures until the boxes are green. Default tyre pressure are really low.
