Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 393s

Backo's Alfa gets a slight overlap on Simon's Mini approaching the corner. Simon leaves some room but Backo does not and forces his way past. The contact is minor, but barging in order to gain a position is not acceptable. In the more powerful car, with a little patience Backo should have been able to make a clean pass on a straight.

  • BACKOpenalty — Side-by-side contact. — 2 places lost (plus 8 for penalty points)

Argh, the Stop/Go got me

I got two on the same lap, pitted in to take it, made one more lap, and I got DQed  Angry

I apologize to all who I hit/held up
I know I smoked someone in the Twin cart of mine causing them to flip, while trying to avoid them under breaking into a turn - I do beleive you left the race after that. I feel bad for ruining your race Sad

After this accident I spun on the grass and slid onto the track very slopilly and I saw someone swirve to miss me - again I feel bad for ruining your race Sad

Not pleased with my preformance in the season opener, but I can tell already this is going to be an AWESOME season

Lowmax is running in 4th with a broken Clutch!

Have a good race all!

I DO NOT BEELIEEEVE IT!!!  Angry Shocked Roll Eyes
About lap 33, trying to overtake a Legends Cortina for P9 I think, lost the back end at the hairpin and cut the corner thereby getting a stop/go... get to the pits and press escape which in GTR2 is mapped to get rid of the pit board, and it quits!!!  AAAArrgh... and after only just making the race at all due to not having patched GTL to v1.1 nor set up the online account!  Oh the pain  :'( :'( Undecided

Other than that an incredible race, I LOVE GTL!  My hands are shaking from 33 laps of on the limit slidesville driving!  woo hoo!!!

Enjoyed than one greatly in my very rare GTL outings.

Very surprised to qualify 4th.

On first lap made a backside of the hairpin. I was closely following 2 and 3rd place, and I could not judge my breaking point. I used Backo the car ahead as my reference, bad idea! He braked way too late and went straight on and I barely controlled my car, and because I was sideways a few people could not avoid me, sorry.

Made up a few positions over next few laps but the guys further ahead were too quick.

Good fun track but a little tight to overtake backmarkers.

A few misunderstandings between myself and backmarkers which caused me to loss time. It did not help that one wanted to race me and did not wish to let me pass.

Good fun all round and no doubt I will be back when time permits

sweatdrop Had a good start and managed to make up a spot there and well, what a scrap I had with Zacari and Bernie, I was one of the lucky ones to avoid Kerr and Backo at the hairpin....but only just, apart from the fight with afforementioned racers, it was just a case of carefully lapping people and not trying to lose the back end on those off camber corners.
I even got a pb in quali, so I say that this was a very good track!!

That was pretty hectic from start to finish - only had a couple of laps where I could take a breather as such.

The start was fine from where I was sitting in P7, but what happened at the hairpin!  Think someone spun it on the exit, and there was a bit of a pile up.  Somehow I managed to get through it, and was behind Bernie in 4th.  It was never going to last, and it didn't.  It only took a slip here and there and I gradually dropped back.  Had a cracking battle with MGoran for a good few laps - swapping places until he lost the back coming out of the chicane.

Kerr and I had a good tussle - spinning to let each other by .... Roll Eyes

Towards the end I had a little bit of a shock as Shark appeared in my rearview .... but I got away after we passed some backmarkers and that was pretty much that until the end of the race.

A little bit annoyed at the spins I had - but can't complain with the result in what was (for GTL) a massive turnout.

Thanks all, good racing.

Excellent 35 3/4 laps that....thouroghly enjoyed it. the first 1/4 lap though is something I will not mention yet Shocked other than to say I ended up rolling a few times. Fortunately ended up on the wheels and didn't appear to be too much damage.

Qualified in 10/11th I think with a PB  Grin...but ended up 24th by turn 2 Sad
passed a few folk and with the retirements I managed to get back to finish 10th...just, with someone desperate to share my fuel for the last few turns Shocked sorry, didn't see who it was...eyes focused firmly forwards. Couple of nice little battles with phil....but he kept forgetting to turn at turn 1 so I managed to pull away. good racing all round from what I saw....well done podium and a great start to seson 3.

Car felt good in the practice server before hand and then felt absolutely terrible on the same setup during practice and through most of qually. Finally it came together again at the end of qually, and despite the shame of starting behind Shark's Mini I knew that RWD traction would get me off the line well ahead off him.

About lap 33, trying to overtake a Legends Cortina for P9 I think, lost the back end at the hairpin and cut the corner thereby getting a stop/go... get to the pits and press escape which in GTR2 is mapped to get rid of the pit board, and it quits!!!  AAAArrgh

Such a shame, just as we were getting stuck into a darned good tussle too. :'( But I think you'll find it was my Shark Cortina and not one of those dodgy Leg Ends. Wink

Before then I was carving my way up through the field after the compression at the final corner on lap 1 left me as the last person in the cluster to brake without running into the guy ahead, and getting well and truly clobbered off. Lips Sealed Don't know if I spun all the way to the back but in any case I then had the most phenominally enjoyable storm back up through the field - a big, big "thank you" to everyone I went wheel to wheel with, great sporting behaviour at all times. thumbup2

Finally after two thirds of the race I was closing in on Shark's Mini at a fair rate when I bit off more than I could chew in the first two turns and lost it, only just rejoining before JK caught me. After that I didn't have quite the same pace in the second half of the lap and fell back into his clutches, only getting the place off Shark because he also had a stop and go.

What a great start to Season 3 - a top 10 at a track I don't think I've ever memorized before!

Thanks all, good racing.

I was describe it as courteous driving. Making way for the faster driver, allowing plenty of space!

There was a good field. From what I hear it seems both GTL and GTR2 are both heading in the positive direction in racers

What a mental little track this is!!  Grin

Really no time to 'relax' at all! Some very curtious drivers when being lapped so thanks for the care.

Looks like Zacari has got the handle on these Oldies now too! Well done old chap!

Really enjoyed this track. I did a little tweak to the setup in the last few mins of Qualy which I am glad I did as it made it much better through ALL bends (changed front roll bar from 1.80 to 1.60). I found that little chicane was a nightmare until I got used to turning in to the 2nd part befoe you could see it - then it was fine especially with that roll bar change compared to how it was during Q.

I got a couple of warnings so had to be very careful in 2nd half of race, particularly at T1 - where I was very nervous and didnt feel comfortable at all... but the more you think about it the worse it is!! When I just drove it without worrying it was OK again!

Had a momentary lapse of skill when I passed Dave - a few wobbly moments with himn catching me back up - sorry if I slowed you down m8 Smiley  Seems you got past Si anyway Wink

Great racing all - Season 3 looks like a corker Cheesy

Provisional results availble (as you can now very easily see on the forums!  Cool), first provisional championship standings available and also the server replay.

Well done to Baracus, Zacari and Madd-Ripp on the podium and are my eyes deceiving me? No, I think it's true, the Team Shark Junior chaps are leading the team championship. Well done fellas.

Sounds like a virus mate!

Have you tried without the network lead in?

Theres a free program called Hijack This - that you can run and it will tell yu what programs are running and/or crashing...might be worth a go to try to find out what process is causing it.

EDIT: Try this link: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Popup-Ad-Spyware-Blockers/HijackThis.shtml

Then again that might not be good enough a program - last time I used it i'm sure it did ALL processes, not just spyware stuff as it seems to be now :/

U tried "Windows Safe Mode"?
