They've just released 1.52 which gives improved physics again ... much better feel.

haha and then they released 1.51 and 1.52 Cheesy
I bet that soon we will see 1.6 with more "improvements" Cheesy they only change.. tyres, suspension, max rpm and more "not much important" things like that... they should keep working and realase good mod with good physics and not experiment on pepole ;/
