Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 0

A couple drivers were reported for chatting during the race. This can be distracting, please limit any chat to pit-in and pit-out messages.

Server replay time: 118s

Approaching the double right-hander before the chicane Keith is battling Syd closely, with Ossie a distance behind. Ossie appears to miss his braking point, passes Syd and hits Keith quite hard, forcing him off the track.

  • ossie (0ssie)penalty — Rear-end collision. — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 192s

Backo tries to pass Pribero at the double right hander. Pribero turns in, and his car is forced off the track.

This was an over-ambitous move. Backo does not achieve any overlap before turn-in so was not entitled to dive up the inside. Backo apologised for the contact, and Pribero requested that no penalty be applied.

  • BACKOpenalty — Over-ambitious overtake. — 2 places lost (plus 9 for penalty points)
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 198s

After the previous incident, Backo brakes very early for the chicane, with the intention of waiting for Pribero to recover. Unfortunately Mike Hammer is close behind, and cannot avoid hitting him. The impact spins Backo off the track.

Mike was not at fault for the collision, he could not have anticipated that Backo would slow down where he did. Backo's intentions were good, but unfortunately he caused a second incident. After causing an incident drivers should only wait for the victim to recover if they can do so safely and without interfering with other drivers on track.

  • BACKOwarning — Unsafe attempt to pull over.
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 703s

Ossie is chasing down Phil Gilliland along the back straight. He is some way behind apporaching the double right hander, but manages to out-brake Phil and get alongside. Phil doesn't spot him, and turns-in, resulting in contact which knocks Phil off the track.

Ossie did manage to get a decent overlap before turn-in, so was entitled to racing room on the inside. Phil should have left room accordingly . However, Phil was probably caught by suprise as Ossie made up a lot of ground in the braking zone, so I'm reducing this one to a caution.

What a wonderful track, just made for the Capri! It's nice to nearly hit the limiter in 5th in my little beauty! Got down to the low 1 minute 19's, absolute blast!

If Madd is doing low 1:19s, my lackluster performance thus far may not be to discouraging, yet.

but I doubt i`m gonna be close enough to you to hear me. Tongue

See u soon, KLM.

Don't get too excited yet.  I've hit the 1:18s a few times in the bimmer so I think an alien Capri may get into the 1:16s.  I find this track very unforgiving.  If you're slightly wide on the exit of a few turns there's nothing but grass, grass and more grass  Sad Embarrassed Wink

I've never driven the BMW before and I'm suprised by how much it understeer.  I thought Real World BMWs were supposed to be drift-fests?  Usually I just lower and soften my cars to the max and adjust the balance with tyres and diff until its loose on entry to help it turn, but to get this in the bimmer I've had to raise the rear up on stilts!

Yep, the Schnitzer BMW is an understeery mess with standard setup, dunno why (the less powerful Alpina is much more fun), but you need to stiffen the rear and really play with the diff to slightly improve it.

With luck I'll be somewhere thereabouts to you in the Escort, had low 1:19s.  That's if I don't sneeze and crash, I've come down with a stinking cold overnight that kept me off work today  Cheesy but hardly conducive to sustained concentration  Tongue

I've never once been able to kick my E30 M3 into a drift (nor do I want to) Real World BMWs Understeer when they're supposed to, and Oversteer when they're supposed to. On the Schnitzer once you do some minor Spring/Anti Roll Bar adjustments that car goes where you point it, it's amazing.

P;S;also I didn't feel confy in race,Dave know why.

Yep.....Both Team Pseudo drivers taking an early bath. :'(

I was looking forward to this one...I had enough pace for a reasonable position.

Quali wasn't great...doing mid 1:18's in praci but only managed a 1:19:2 putting me 9th.
Didn't have the very best of starts, got sandwiched in the first corner so backed off alittle to avoid an incident...then ended up facing the wrong way at the first left hander. Dont know if I caught the grass or got a tap..have to wait for replay for that...got going again near the back as usual Roll Eyes  only to find at the very next corner a rejoining car pulling back onto the racing line directly in front of me.. Shocked..slammed everything on and made avoiding action....straight into a barrier.
Did manage to get going again and although the car was pulling a little to one side, it was not too bad and started to make headway again....after a couple of laps I managed to catch up with the said car from the above incident....because it was recovering and pulling back onto the racing line directly in front of me !!!
Slammed everything on and made avoiding action....straight into a barrier. (sorry for repeating myself Angry)

Tried to get going again for a couple of laps but the damage was done and the car was uncontrollable, so when the leaders caught me to lap me I realised I had to quit before I caused an accident.

Grats to podium

Had a ton of fun untill the first turn!!!
That was mayhem, I got spun and was being dictated by the cars around me - which luckily I don't think I caused any of them to spin - I managed to keep my car straight going off the track, but then a 906 Gave me a hit when I was lining myself up ready to rejoin, had to wait till the feild passed on by before picking it back up again.

Luckily BMWs are made like Tanks, and that didn't cause any noticable handling issues, was having a great race with some battles (I Think it was Bill in the 906 for 20th for a while) then I hit 13th place, was on my own for a while, made a stupid mistake while being lapped and dropped me to 16th, couldn't really get out of that position as my tyres were wearing thin, and I was making foolish mistakes for the last 5% of the race.

Had a ton of fun finnaly being able to race the BMW! See you all next week.

Psuedo - i think that was me - sorry m8...i had gone off on first lap into the barrier and car seemed to be pulling to one side, so was having difficulty getting the car in a strait line back on the track.
I think i pulled in front of you again  Shocked on the chicane just before s/f strait, but i thought i would have enough power and speed to get in and out, whilst you were slowing doen to negotiate the chicane - bad mistake on my behalf - awfully sorry Pseudo - totally take full responsibility for that  Undecided

Dont worry about it Will...I've done similar myself when trying to recover. I know its not always easy to see and judge other cars speed etc...it's the nature of the game...just glad you didn't hear my language at the time though  Grin...

Very good race Madd-rip alien
Well done GS´s Baracus and assassino for podium  thumbup2
Qualified 6th (no practice at all), so i was quit happy, believing that thinks
might improve during race  yes
At start, i jumped to 2nd, before first corner  eek was there untill a mid-corner silly
mistake, assassino were faster and overtook me  turned
Then at lap 2, i saw HuhHuhHuh approaching right behind, to that double right just before
last chicane, when i started to break, he got closer and i was scared for a highlly risk pass
from HuhHuhHuh  scared i give room to him to the apex, but he couldnt break in time due is
very late break, so BANGGGGGGG  no i lost 3rd place to rejoin track at 8th (i believe)
So the other 28 laps i tried to recover, but only reached the 4th overall  shifty
Thanks to the backmarkers in a general way, but there is some that have to pay a bit more attention please  detective
Cool final 3 laps with Hammer making a huge pressure on me, thanks for your fair driving  Wink

Ofcourse i will not tell the name of the driver HuhHuhHuh?? because it was unintentional  lol

Cheers
