Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 0

Drivers are reminded to check the rules regarding use of lights. Only the leader is allowed to have lights on in dry daytime conditions.
Having lights on is a distraction to other drivers and can impact on other drivers' FPS.

Server replay time: 1159s

Robert Midderhoff is following Darren down to T1 and getting a good slipstream. Robert brakes a little too late and unfortunately taps Darren into the time consuming gravel on the exit.

Server replay time: 4728s

Pedro Silva is behind Dave Gymer through T1 and about to lap him as they round T2. Dave stays wide and leaves room but Pedro misjudges things and takes a very wide exit, and hits the side of Daves's car knocking him into the gravel.
Maybe Pedro thought that Dave would stay out even wider, on the run off kerbs, but in the end I dont think he left enough room considering there was a lapped car on the outside.

Thanks for your reply.

So it's OK for me as a reserve to pop in for P2 in a GTC and see if there's room?

Yep - if you can get in, there's room. Cheesy

I was trying to get to server to see everything is OK with carpack and so on but it says I have a bad password. I entered the one in this topic but it didn't work. Am I doing something wrong or is this some sort of a "reserve driver procedure"?

Great....out early doors again due to ....as far as I can tell...a Dodgy circuit.!!  It wasn't a black hole this time though..Took a little too much curb in to the uphill chicane before the last turn and got swept over to the left hand side...controlled the spin and pointed back at the track and must have found a pot hole with similar attributes to the grand canyon. As soon as the fronts touched I was on my roof, and out.

I was enjoying that too...had a bit af a battle with Eddie Meyer for a few laps till I managed to power past him on the S/F straight with the Vipers extra umph. Then caught Ozzie in another Viper and was glued to his rear for a couple of laps...it looked like it would have been a good tussle. Sad

Grats to classn winners and podiums.

Disaster, "Thread Stuck In Device Driver" Microsoft tell me. Right in the middle of turn 1, so I hope everyone avioded the accident I probably had  Undecided

Up until then then race had been going quite well except for when I managed to change in to 1st (from 5th) going around the first corner. Not sure how - one extra downshift I'll blame on myself for pressing the lever twice but that's 3 extra shifts  Shocked I was following 3 beamers at the time that I was hoping to jump at the pit stops as I was expecting they would need more fuel than me. Never know now. Hope everyone had a good race.

Nowhere near pb in qually which left me in 24th.  Race started ok then made a few little mistakes because of obvious set up faults which gave me no chance to compete with rest of class.

I struggled on and started to get lapped by higher classed cars which was expected.  I tried to give as much space as possible to be lapped, but what I hadn't banked on was some inconsiderate driving from cars lapping which at times hit me and forced me off the road. Why try to over take in to corners?

So if you were lapping me and ended up worse off serve your f*****g right. death

There are slower people out there in slower cars that just want to enjoy racing and there are the odd few that ruin it for the rest of us.

Battle filled race for me.

Didn't get PB in qually and ended up 8th, which was far behind Paul968. I wanted to stay close to him due to pitstop strategy, but it didn't go that way.

I had some GT2 cars infront of me, and a few helped me by building sand castles. Then I was behind Gomes Silva and a long battle started. Just check the lapchart in a few minutes, the gap was always below 1s. At one point I overtook him and had to drive hard to keep him behind me. Luckily Dave said the Nissan is very reliable, so I kicked it's tail the whole race, just to see engine health being 60% at the end  Shocked, which is blowpoint  laugh.
After many laps behind me, I thing Gomes had enough and started attacking hard, and shoot infront of me so I could take inside again and keep leading  Smiley. This happened a few times and Backo came close. At some backmarkers I lost alot of time and both drivers past me. Till the pitstop I could trail them and keep close.
I thought my stop strategy would win me alot in pits, but as this track is really slow, hardly anybody had to refill and I didn't win anything. So I had to overtake on track, which is much more fun.
Overtook Gomes halfway in my 2nd stint and slowly drove off when he made a mistake. I then saw TT infront at about 3s.
It was a matter of winning some, losing some. With 10 minutes to go I was slowly gaining and with 4 minutes to go TT went off at the last corner  Sad. Real shame as it was gonna be a very tight finish.

Finished 3rd overall and 2nd in class, again behind Paul968, who masters Valencia in the RS. It will be hard getting him with him in this shape Smiley.

Grats Simon on the GT2 win, Paul968 on the GTC win and Madd-RIP for the win in GT3 class thumbup2

That was very very hard work.

Had a PB in qually for 2nd, but it was always going to be hard with Paul968, Ruskus, and Backo breathing down my neck in their still-suscpiciously-fast-GTCs.  I managed to hold it together for a few laps, but going wide on a corner on a couple of laps let Paul and Ruskus through, got a tap from Backo (cheers for waiting), which dropped me a few more places back.  As we came to lap Bill I missed my brake point for T1, and then I got completely caught out by him later that lap or the next and scared the crépe out of myself and rear ended Bill in the process - really sorry, I didn't think I'd catch you so fast through that corner.  I had an almost identical brown trouser moment later in the race with Bill, narrowly missing contact - you'd have thought I'd have learnt after the first one! Grin  Sorry again for that.

As I was now a fair bit further down the field than I was hoping, I took a chance in the pits and just did a splash and dash in the M3.....rookie error.  I drove the M3 for all of S4 - so why the heck I thought this was clever I'll never know.

I made up some ground through the short-stop, but that was short-lived, and the second half of the race was less about me racing anyone else, but it was me against the car to see who would break first.  I was struggling to keep it together, and thanks to the guys I was lapping, if you hadn't let me through I think I'd only have had a chance on the s/f straight.

I had "tyres worn" for the last ten minutes and my laptimes were shot to pieces.  In the end I had Darren closing me down at something like 4 seconds a lap .... 1/4 of a lap more and he'd have flown by - unlucky mate.

I don't know where I could have finished had I not been a complete tit (the bird again - no obscenities from me  angel ) and made such a crépe (see what I'm doing here Wink ) decision in the pits - but rest assured I'll NEVER make such a daft choice again......

Cheers all - another fun (and thoroughly knackering) evening.
