Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 90s

On lap one, Syd Drake misses his braking point and runs into the back of Brian Kerr, spinning him out. Syd wasn't attemting a passing move, he simply made a mistake and entered the corner too fast to take it cleanly. Drivers are expected to show extra caution on the first lap.

Server replay time: 2240s

Assassino is chasing Mark Jonzo for the final podium spot late in the race. He gets right on his bumper, and pulls to the inside before a right-hander. He doesn't get any overlap under braking, and Mark turns in for the corner. Assassino tries to force his car into a very small gap on the inside. He gets on the power earlier, and gives Mark a nudge, spinning him around. Assassino then waits for Mark to rejoin, accepting responsibility for the contact.

Assassino should have been more cautious here. I'm reducing this to a zero place penalty as he waited for Mark.

Server replay time: 2410s

Syd Drake is chasing down Phil Gilliland's mini late in the race, when he comes around to lap Adam Parle. He tries to out-brake him, but only gets a small amount of overlap. Adam turns in and there is contact.

Syd was a bit over-ambitious here, he wasn't fully alongside before turn-in and wasn't fully under control of the car, locking up badly. However, he comes close to making the move work, so I'm reducing this one to a warning. I also feel Adam could have been a bit more aware of a possible move, although he was entitled to take the racing line.

I hope you qually infront of me MJ, or else you'll have a big Yanktank infront again  Tongue

It's like I could see in the future  Grin.

I need the serverlog file Mr. BMW, so I need to wait for the replay to be uploaded. I didn't make those lapcharts as I was on holiday in the States.

Both drivers were defending too strongly and even when I was alongside or partially along side, one nearly put me into pit wall the other on the grass on back straight.

If one of those was me (blue mini) I apologise. With your lights out it was impossible sometimes to tell where you were, especially if you were alongside. I tried to move over to let you past at one point, only to find I was moving into the side of you. Sorry.  Sad

Hard race for me, i was giving my best to catcg Mark Jonzo and Ruskus, when in last corner i hited MJ rear.

I had no practice in this track, i don´t like this kind of tracks, small and with a lot of highs and lows.

I just know that in the end my legs where hurting, i´m getting old for this, and i need a clutch pedal, cause i think i can´t get faster with the dfp wheel, thinking to buy a g25 when i have more money.

First of all congrats to the podium. I only can watch in envy when you fly past (yes, that was I in the red Mini..)

Second my congrats to team member MadMac for scoring the first points for the team.  Cheesy (I told you you were our top driver!)

Also my congrats to KD Mal. You beat me fair and square. Saw you driving in the distance but could not bridge the gap.

Lastly a hoorah to the Mustang on it's back. I nearly ran into you !! but could brake in time. Quite a scare  Grin

that was another awesome GTL race on yet another cracking little track  Cool. I still think the Brit tracks alone would make a great championship, most of them were used extensively in the 60's and 70's to prove the point !

Hadnt even installed the track until 20 mins before 1st practise of the event  Shocked Kept plugging away on the praccy laps until i finally found the ideal lines and pace.
Qualied a fine 2nd place behind the Alfa-Meister Baracus  Cool with the ominous rumble of Jeffs Mustang sitting alongside in the 3rd...D'oh !...just knew he would get to T1 before me with all that power  :'(
Him and Baracus stormed a couple of secs up ahead for the first few laps until i had got my race rythm going and then i closed on Jeffs Yanktank for my now customary race long duel with him Roll Eyes ...it didnt disapoint! thumbup1 yet another cracking epic battle over 2nd place, within a second of each other (except when we encountered traffic), that lasted all the way up until lap 37 of 39.
Thats where it ended thanks to some unfortunate intervention from the guy behind me Roll Eyes who had closed down our good gap because of the lapped traffic. Sad I turned into the final turn before s/f straight as per the previous 36 laps, close on Jeffs yankee butt, except i then got hit from behind and turned around cursing...needless to say i turned the air blue and startled any nearby nesting wildlife with an animal like roar taz
I know its racing and its hard to make a pass in equal machinery but jeez you have to use some restraint. That was it for me, i lost all concentration and my blood pressure had reached meltdown. The driver involved had let me back in front on track but Steve H had stolen through to nick my hard earned 3rd and to add insult to injury i then made my first mistake of the whole race by running wide at T1 on the final lap and 'said offender' took 4th from me.
A very crap end to what had been a brilliant race.  :'(

Grats to Jeff for another corking battle and clean racing despite some side by side moments and wild slides, and very well done to Baracus, god of Classics  Grin  I Am Not Worthy
The pace in the top 6 was amazing tonight. Cool

Lastly a hoorah to the Mustang on it's back.

I'm guessing that was me!  Glad to have provided you with some entertainment  Grin
The car did reset eventually but I don't think resets are fair so I quit out to go eat some ice cream as consolation   Tongue

That was actually a pretty hectic race for such a simple track! First lap I had to really go for it to keep Jeff's brute behind as I knew he was going to pounce on the straight but I managed to fly through the first few bends and to my surprise the straights were'nt long enough for him to pass and stay ahead.

After that I just drove flat-out as much as I could as I needed to keep my concentration up - for most laps I was getting just 0.1 slower than my current race best, which slowly came down as the fuel lightened - but then tyres were dropping off a bit as I was leaning on the front left a lot - which threw the balance of the rears too in that fast uphill chicane and I got a few wobbles on but luckily kept both my light intacs :p .

Was quite funny from where I was sitting to see cars in various states of battle-damage, some of them winking with one eye (you flirts!) - and one on his roof.

I may be tempted to try navigating one of those tanks in the next TC65 race, but I do soooo love the Alfa's Smiley   - boring as it may be as a choice Wink

Please post any incident reports via the submit incident link. We need to keep the standard of driving high and it helps everyone to learn their mistakes, so please do submit incidents you are involved in. Thanks.

1 slight complaint about tonight...the pit lane limiter is supposed to be used for ALL sessions. That is in the rules....The behaviour of some folk tonight was terrible. I got clobbered and turned round facing the wrong way at the begining of qualifying.....and I hadn't even got in my car yet! still in the parking lot. and again I had people zooming past in the pit lane during qualifying...No respect shown and not within the 'gentlemanly atmosphere' associated with racing here.

Please report anyone breaking the rules using the submit incident link so they can be moderated. The league doesn't need replays to moderate that sort of thing.

Can't get omn the server. Just gets to Zacari and keeps trying to reload him.

I had that problem too, however you can press the drive button - just keep clicking it and you'll catch the off part of the loading bit. Trouble is I then had no sound for my own car  Undecided I've seen this before as well but I can't remember with who / which car.

Dreadful race for me, spun on 2nd or 3rd lap and then 4 or 5 latter brushed the armco on the way out of the last corner and ended up on my roof. Car than had what seemed terminal steering damage so I gave up.

Yes, that was really bad luck getting tagged, I went through there and I did ponder whether to wait, then I thought 'Naa, the accident was nothing to do with me!'  Grin  Lucky 3rd really, although when I finally discovered how to drive a couple of corners part way through the race (and wasn't cutting the grass to avoid lappees I had misjudged  Cheesy) I had great speed.

Then I closed right up to Jeffs Mustang with 2 laps to go and he's right, I was caught out by its slow apex and exit speeds (tyres shot to hell by then), did tap it a couple of times, at least not hard although it did cost me an opportunity to attack as I thought he might spin so I eased off to wait but he recovered the slide and I'd lost about 1.5 seconds, but fair dos, it was my mistake  Wink.

I gotta agree with Pseudo, there were some people not using speed limiters in pit lane, but I'm afraid I didn't think enough of it to note who  Sad

Unfortunately neither did I...so I am unable to submit incident reports for it as I don't know who 'offended'.
Hopefully this time, the mention of it will be enough to make the 'guilty' parties realise it is against the rules and a bit 'unsporting' and maybe help them mend their ways  Grin angel

I have to admit in Parc Fermée I think I did speed, but I was only in 1st gear, so it can't be that bad and I was driving behind the cars so I wouldn't hit anybody come out of the "garage". Sorry about the drifts I made turning from parc Fermée to pitlane, couldn't resist Embarrassed, but still only 1st gear  Cheesy.

Only felt 1 tab Steve, guess the yanktank only feels hits and no slaps  Tongue
