As we are currently not having any RaceRoom events here, I thought some of you RaceRoom drivers may be interested in this. Sim Racing Belgium, where our friend Birger Meysman is an admin, are running two series for the new Porsche 944 Cup car. One will be a sprint series on Fridays featuring 2 x 20min races starting on 25th August & the other will be on Sundays with 1 x 60 min race starting on 3rd September. If anyone is interested leave a post here & I will get Birger to post an invite to Sim Racing Belgium's Discord.

I will be doing the Friday races, but not the Sunday ones as I already race at SCB on Sundays.

Thanks for the heads up Geoff. Hardly touched the sim since we stopped RRE here  Cry With winter coming it's probably time to get in to the grove again.

Long tome no see all SROUK friends. Indeed due to low numbers over here i switched community. Sim Racing Belgium does mainly ACC and some RRE race`s  (for RRE count is still low (between 10-15 drivers). Benefit of a belgian league for me is also i can attent the real life meetings.

For autumn we do indeed 2 series

Main league (porsche 944) (on sunday)

and the sprint league (also porsche 944) (on friday) - this league was recently added first to have a practice race 2 days before the main race. But now its more the social race with sunday the competitive race.

I will post all race data soon below

Sim Racing Belgium - Main league - Porsche 944 Turbo Cup

Kalender-944" border="0

A combo between a Historic and Porsche car was chosen this autumn, namely the newly released Porsche 944 Turbo Cup. This will be a championship that we will start at home in the dunes of Zandvoort. To then first take a trip into the 'East', followed by the 'Far West', to return home in the forests of Spa-Francorchamps.

The car

A comb 1987's 944 Turbo Cup was a radical departure in design terms for Porsche. It doesn't look like a Porsche, but it is. It has a front engined, water cooled and a 'normal' coupé shape. But it still delivered a true 'Porsche' driving experience, and the success of its one-make championships laid the groundwork for the 911-based Porsche Carrera Cup that would succeed it.

Raceformat

The race format consists of a short 15-minute free practice session, a long 45-minute qualifying session and a race format that is different depending on the raceweekend:
•   Two 30-minute races (For the second race, a "reversed grid TOP 10" will be used where the top 10 finishers from race 1, will be placed in reverse starting order).
•   Race of 45 minutes, followed by a sprint race of 15min where a "reversed grid TOP 10" will also be used for the second race .
•   Race of 60 minutes.
•   For the FINAL on the 10th of December at Spa, we will compete for double points during a 1h30m race.

Circuits

Prologue: 19/08 Zolder (20/20/20) - NO POINTS (TEST EVENT)
Race 1: 03/09 Zandvoort (30/30)
Race 2: 17/09 Dubai (60)
Race 3: 01/10 Zheijang (30/30)
Race 4: 15/10 Twin Ring Motegi (45/15)
Race 5: 29/10 Ningbo (30/30) assigned time`s can change due to Real Life F1 – Mexico GP at that time
Race 6: 12/11 Silverstone Historic (60)
Race 7: 26/11 Interlagos (45/15)
FINAL: 10/12 Spa – Francorchamps (90) – DOUBLE POINTS

You need to subscribe on SGP for the serie: https://app.simracing.gp/events/gHfpWDDfEC70-zJ34ohgx
and on the SRB discord channel: https://discord.gg/p7dGhnBc
Don`t forget to make your livery selection on the discord channel to make it easier for the commentator  Wink

Each single race (doesn`t matter the duration of it): 1:35 / 2:30 / 3:26 / 4:23 / 5:21pt/ 6:20pt / .... up to 25:1pt. The final race is for double points

Penalty

First lap will be steward, after the first lap all drivers can fill in a incident report if needed on the discord channel.
3pts: light penalty, ex: affected driver can continue to drive
5pts: medium penalty, ex: affected driver looses positions
10pts: heavy penalty, ex: multiple affected drivers or affected driver DNF`s 10+next race grid penalty: for a T1 incident

Race settings

Start: Standing (prevent false start: no)
Fuel consumption / Tire wear: Normal
Pitstops: Manual
Driving Aids: Factory
Driving line: Free Choice
Cut rules: slow down penalty
Fixed setup

Prizes  *SUBJECT TO CHANGE*

There will be prizes for the top 3 drivers in the championship.
•   Vouchers from our sponsors DIGITRACX or KGL (or a 500VRP voucher)
•   Winner: trophy made by KGL
Every racer who has participated in at least 7 of the 8 event`s (final race counts double), will have a chance to win a nice Porsche related give-away after the championship, during a random raffle.

For outside BE/NL, shipping costs are at the winner's expense (therefore there is always an alternative choice for a 500VRP voucher)
