After teaching my 1 yr old grandaughter some apparently bad habits we were despatched towards home early, before I could do any more damage . Evil Clive indeed eh?

Check out the UKGPL "Announcements" page for registration for any ( or all ) of the upcoming seasons.
Clive, which league/season should an absolute novice enter?

I have been doing a few GPL events. I haven't finished one yet...... The original 67 F1 cars are way harder than I remember them, I did ok in the one event I managed to join, but something happened at half way and I dropped. There are two series in 2024 for the 55GP cars, which are easy to drive, but you have no brakes after a few seconds of use, until they cool down great fun I have been practicing with the 67F2 cars which are half the power of the 67F1 cars, and I think are a good option as I have little experience yet There was only one series, but maybe Phil will run a second one if it fills. Did Clive suggest this: https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?PHPSESSID=9012b4eb5f57d4fae318c55f06a22315&topic=6787.msg118356#msg118356The "Works" series are for experts, the "Privateers" are for earthlings (like me) Go there and see what you fancy, and then do the vote for any you have the time/interest in. I have signed up for the 67F1. 67F2, and 55GP series. I have had lots of issues getting GPL to run at all, and to get the tracks available. Phil is probably bored with my bleating, so gimme a shout if it doesn't "just work"

......methinks tis a chance for Tony to extract some revenge for years of my badgering?
If you want to enjoy one of the easier car groups then definitely the F2's. As Matt says, they are half the power and almost twice the fun IMHO. The 55's are a bit marmite, the brake fade feature makes them something VERY different to come to terms with and it requires a special approach. Certainly the 67's are the original and still the hardest to absolutely master and I still struggle with any consistency...probably through lack of focused practice. Plenty of help and advice available on the forum within UKGPL, you just have to ask and someone will step forward.
But, within all the car groups there is a wide range of pace and abilities, so you should enjoy some good racing once you get yourself acquainted with the hardware.

literally fell asleep at the wheel and awoke as I bounced off the barriers at Mach 2!! . I guess there was just too much real life driving to get to the circuit? Hard luck to Tony and grats to the podium and all finishers. Thanks for many years of fun guys, I hope that some, if not all of you, find another sim where we can enjoy more battles. Thankyou Tony and GTL for everything.

The server lost me somewhere after the 2nd stop. seen it before but usually at the start, all the other cars are frozen. It still had the cars in the list, but the times were all over the place.

Guys, I would like to thank everyone for the last race today. It was an honor to have raced with you. I've always enjoyed this gentlemen driving! Thanks, especially to Tony and all the other hardworking people in the background. Unfortunately I only found out about your community late and when there was only Monday left for racing, I had to split up between the Koelschbierbude with GTR2 and the Porsche Supercup, the Rennsimulanten with Raceroom and you guys. The offer for the Altbierbude and all other Bierbuden is of course valid. Just write me a PM here or on the Altbierbude if you need help. Maybe someone is interested in Power& Glory on Tuesday at the Festbierbude. I wish you all the best and a good year 2024. I will miss your community!
Glück auf!

Fell asleep so failed to catch the replay before it was wiped on the server.
If anyone has a full replay that they could send me, it would be appreciated.
Also the points/table have not behaved so it looks like I've forgotten to do something, so I'll look into this tomorrow.
