I tried but it doesn't not solve such an issue: some laps are better then other ones but suddendly the FPS are dropping again.

I guess it's related to the F2 carset (I got the original one), as I tried some laps with the F1 carset and I didn't experience tha same issue at all.

Then I downloaded the F2 carset Phil uploaed here few weeks ago and it's working better than my former one, without the need to reduce the details.
Better means only that the issue is now happening less often than before.

Good to hear that things have improved, even if not 100%.

I read your comment about the F2 carset & thought maybe I'd try that. But after rummaging through the related thread, I think that was from my machine anyway!

Anyway,  I seem to have had better results with a fresh track installation.  Using the v1.2 installer & not using any of the addons/updates (even though the indicated release dates are after the 1.2 installer).

Increasing mirror details again seems ok.

Will have to see how it copes over the weekend.

I finally sorted it out!
I realized that the NVIDIA profile for the 67F2 exe file was slighlty different from the one for the 67F1 one.
Putting triple buffering on and maximum pre-rendered frames to 1 solved the issue.
Maybe you should check it out too Dave
Cheers from a rainy Monza

Well done & thanks for the reply!

I had all the GPL-related executables listed in the same nVidia profile inspector config file, so should alll be the same.

However, my particular issue seemed resolved when connecting to the server (whether UKGPL11, UKGPL13 or UKGPL07) directly & not via iGOR.

When connecting via iGOR,  was consistently seeing 30FPS from the last corner to the start/finish line, where 60FPS service resumed. On 1 run, first 6-8 laps were laggy, then the later laps ok.

I don't recall having this at other tracks, or with other carsets (including F2).
Maybe something was tipping my machine over the edge at this particular track.

Just had a brief run around Suzuka in F2 thanks to UKGPL13,  all seemed ok there.

I'll put my trouble down to a weird one-off Smiley

Hi Patcornu

Welcome to UKGPL. You've voted in the 67F1 Works poll and the 67F2 poll. I've registered you as a reserve in both championships. You might struggle to get a drive in the 67F1 races because we have 24 drivers and only 19 grid slots. However, there are only 18 drivers in the 67F2 Pro championship, so you are guaranteed a grid slot in the 67F2 races.

You voted in the 67F1 Works so I assume you are an experienced GPL driver. Do you recognise any of the other drivers in the championships you are in? If so are they of a similar pace to you? If I've got it wrong and you think you should be in the 67F1 Privateers or 67F2 Amateurs, please let me know.

Thank you for your reply.
I know "Magicarsouille, Alain Maurice, "GP Yannick", among others very well... We have the same level I think.
I have been participating in GPLracer 65 and 67 for 3 years, PGPL for 6 years, and I have done the F1 Legends, LFGPL, LBGPL championships.

It's difficult to participate in all the UKGPL courses, which follow GPLracer and PGPL, but it's easy to join you when things go wrong very early in the previous courses, like at Spa67 this Tuesday evening...  Sad

I think one of our mods found you on GPL Rank with a rank of -66. So you are definately Works standard  I Am Not Worthy.

When you are able to join us you will make the fight for the podium places more interesting. Good luck for the rest of the season. Hopefully the token system we use here is understandable  thumbup2

Of course, Pat, I will send you an invitation to join the team "Equipe BGB", if you agree.
The team members are Eric Bilodeau, Alain Maurice, Tristan Bot, Philippe Girard, Frank Verplanken (not racing this season ??) ...and me !
