I would only be able to compete in the first race, mind if I join?
Expect to lap me 3-4 times in the first 5 laps!

First race I had a great fight with Jon. Good to see him back, even if it might be once in a while.

2nd Race was very rough, I got pushed off a few times, but even worst, I punted TinMan off while he was in 2nd  :'(. Missed my brake point and when I slammed the brakes the rear locked up and I just hit his rear right, sending him in the tires Sad. Concentration was shot as I was disgusted with myself and didn't feel like continueing. I did continue and went off few more times after, as I couldn;t forget the incident.

Sorry Tinman :'(

I hated the bimmer in GTR1 and can now confirm I ain't too keen on the GTR2 version Smiley. Although I struggled with it, I sure did have some fun.

Both races had plenty of paint rubbing but all fair and above board. Thx Jan and Madd-Ripp for much fun. Stupid black flag on last chicane of final lap in R1, avoiding jan, could prove costly. Just disappointing to see so many incidents again, it really does put people off :'(. Real shame. Still, keep the faith and together we might get there  Smiley

Congrats to JR and TT. Gotta say the ballast thing does make a big difference, to us mortals at least, and now gets a thumbs up from this sceptic. Welcome to lard arse land TT Smiley

First race was bad for me. Tapped Madd-Rip in lap 1, making him spin.  Sad  Waited for him but the race was ruined. Might be due to my driving the whole time with race setup, so I was used to it more and was braking later than most, even in the beginning with cold tyres. Sorry again, Madd.  Sad

2nd race was won for me by Tinman. After I got by in T1 I was able to make and extend a gap which was 15 seconds in the end. There must have been carnage behind, as Tinman left the race after he lost 2nd place. He deserved that 2nd place, I bet he was working his a$$ off to stay there.  Sad

Thanks again, Tom and sorry you didn't make 2nd.  Smiley

TT

P.S. You mean my ... will get bigger, SBG?  Tongue

A pb in quali was a nice start but then those dastardly legends got me again!  Tongue
np TT you waited and put paid to your race too, it was like Snetterton all over again, from the back! Then made a massive boo boo and tried to make a hole in SBG's car at chicane by braking too late, locking up and then waiting for the impact, thankfully I got me face slapped big time and lost a few positions, but got hit with a  cut track, and then I added another couple later and had a s/g, typical!  Roll Eyes

2nd race saw me spin my car all on my own and guess what....start chasing people down again! I was very lucky to finish where I did because of people coming off but tbh this series, even with the contact is just brilliant, everyobe is constantly going as fast as they can and trying different lines to get that small edge. Proper racing.

Is it correct that there were no ballasts in use for the second event?

I had great fun in the 1st race racing Jeff and also Dan for a few laps. Had a great side by side dual at the start with Jeff and I crept over a bit too far going down craner curves and made contact, I backed off a little but it made no difference to the corner as Jeff had the inside line to the old hairpin. After that I don't think I ever really got close to overtaking other than hassling Jeff a bit. He's just too smooth under pressure to make a mistake for me to get past. It's always nice to drive behind Jeff anyway with his sideways style Cool Really enjoyed the race, great stuff Cool Cool Cool
Big thanks to TT on letting me have his setup. It made such a big difference to the way I could attack the corners. About 0.8-1.0s a lap better off. Thx TT Cool Cool Cool
Grats to Jeff in the 1st and TT in the 2nd

No..the ballasts were actually there but myself and SBG must have done something wrong in the import Roll Eyes

The only thing I can think is that SBG managed to get race 2 results up before I had time to do race 1 so that would probably effect them showing.

That was great fun again....Good racing and I was on the pace (with some Shocked) I made a couple of errors, one in each race that left me on my own for the second 10 mins but alot of late stop n goes etc lifted me up a bit Grin

Well done winners and pods.

oh, and by the way,

No - it's just that you didn't generate the ballasts file for the second event so the system simply doesn't know that there were any ballasts in that event. Now fixed.

Just thought I should apologise to whoever it was I hit going back onto the track at turn 1. It was a complete SMIDSY. (Sorry Mate I Didn't See You)

Also thought I should mention that I hadn't driven that track before, or that car. And I didn't have any setups. And it was my first race online.

Still a good race though, and I'll definitely be racing again if I get chance.
