Purdie gets little kink before Bus stop chicane a little wrong and is resultantly slower into chicane than normal. However, he seems to brake at his normal point and is stopping much earlier than Backo, (who got entry right) is expecting. A rear ender is the unfortunate result but Backo does the right thing and waits for Purdie so penalty reduced.

  • BACKOpenalty — Rear Contact — 1 place lost (plus 2 for penalty points)
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 422s

Immediately after incident with Backo, into La Source, Purdie appears to brake far to late and runs into the unfortunate Darren, spinning him off. This is certainly not the norm and Purdie explains that this was caused by him searching for his lights to thank Backo. Credit to Purdie for coming clean immediately and Darren for accepting his apology.

  • purdie ([R24-7]purdie)penalty — Rear Contact — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Pseudo gets a better run out of Rouge than Jan and gets alongside up the following Kemmel straight. For some reason, Jan moves across to the right and appears to put the squeeze on Pseudo. However, looking at the replay Jan makes this little move to the right on virtually all of his entry's into Les Combes. Obviously this suprises Pseudo, who had not been following Jan for long and his car is unsettled into Les Combes. I have no doubt that Pseudo would have passed cleanly without that rather odd, but consistent, kink to the right by Jan.

This racing incident could have been avoided if Jan had seen Pseudo so please be more aware in future Jan, a quick look in mirrors was certainly possible there.

Already a good battle this, and Madd just runs wide coming into Rivage and makes slight contact with Ruskus. Ruskus was on the outside and, I guess, not looking to overtake but rather heap the pressure on the obstinate Madd. So with no malice involved and no damage done, its a racing incident.

Racing incident.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 998s

Two laps later and they are still both at it. Ruskus gets out of La Source hairpin quicker than Madd and takes the oppurtunity to get alongside into the entry to Rouge. Ruskus is on the left and correctly slows more than usual to allow Madd to keep inside, maybe with an eye to gaining an advantage along Kemmel, unfortunately Madd chooses to cut out wide left for a better entry into second part of Rouge. There is the faintest of touches which unfortunately has dire consequences for Madd and Backo.

The contact could have been avoided had Madd not moved left. Resultantly, he may not have had the best exit from Rouge and would have probably lost his place but that was really due to Ruskus's better exit from the hairpin. It has to be a racing incident, just a shame that Madd was so badly penalised as a result.

Anybody got any benchmark times for the German Reliant Robin round here? (mine usually ends up with three wheels after the first couple of corners Cheesy)

That was fun but could have been so much better Smiley :'(.

First race was tough. After pipping Purdie, but not on the same planet as your man up front, I pretty much held a gap to 3rd, after Purdie slipped off, and managed to keep JR in sight for whole of race (lucky I set view distance to far Wink), Then realised the gas was going to be tight so loosened right off with just enough squirt to hold off a flying Jon at the end. Congrats JR, exceptional driving.

Next race was much more fun. Got burned by JR at start but settled in behind him as he moved through field. Looking forward to hanging on to him but an unfortunate incident meant I didn't see him again :'(. Real shame. Then following Jan as he gamely held on but a slip at Rouge gave me the upper hand and I passed tight into corner (no idea where you went but hope I left you enough room). Then a flying Purdie caught me and passed after a slight slip up. I was faster virtually everywhere but the man with steel kahunas threw it threw rouge and gapped me every time Grin. Great stuff for a couple of laps then he got disco'ed. Feel robbed of two fun battles :'(

Gotta say standard was far better from where I stood, but still room for improvement. Good stuff all angel

Had a pretty good 1st race and had a couple of scraps there, but not really quick enough to even challenge for a podium but 4th was a nice, but lucky, place to finish.  Smiley

As for the second race, had some real tough fights there but and incident put me into the wall and then all hell broke loose at Eau Rouge, the whole rear of the car was destroyed, gutted tbh could have squeeked a podium with some luck.  Sad

What a plonker, first race I decided to spin on the 1st lap and take off the front spoiler. Pit crew told me to expect some understeer so I then lost it through Au-rouge and decided that a pitstop was indeed in order. With me pratting around unsure if the limiter was on or off I sped in the pits resulting in a second visit being required Undecided Came out a lap down to the car in front so just drove round getting practice for the 2nd race.

Well that went little better Sad Realised half way through the race countdown I had the wrong setup, the default one and not Jeff's tweaky demon one. Loaded that in a panic and joined the grid. Stupidly waggled the shifter on the G25 and the car started to roll, didn't get a stop / go for that but starting the race in 4th gear was not very successful. Still kept me out of the bedlam of the 1st few corners. Race then  proceeded pretty well, gained a few places due to people having offs and even over took for places on merit.

Then...........

Picnic, did my frantic braking sent you off to pits? I hope not, I would hate to think I was the cause of your retirement.  Sad

the pit crew came on and told me I needed some fuel. Of course in the panic I loaded Jeff's setup which was still set for qually  :'( It was at this point I lost the will to live and happened to coincide with this event TT. I just bailed.

All in all a very poor showing from me tonight.

Well done to all those who get more weight penalties Wink

Saw SBG do mid 2:25's in P1 and was afraid as I did a 2:25.5 in TT (the gamemode, not the person  Grin) without the ballast. I found another second in Q2 and got pole surprisingly.

Race 1: Had a very good start and had a 1.1 s lead after Eau Rouge. SBG was behind me and overall quicker in the lap, but I won alot at Eau Rouge, enough for me to lose the rest of the lap.

Race 2: Again a good start and overtook SBG and was behind Madd and Darren. overtook Madd as he went wide at Les Combes and I was behind Darren. Few laps later I overtook him at La Source when I got a better exit out of the Bus Stop. Was right behind Jan, in 2nd place, looking for a place to overtake. Later got tapped by Darren at la Source when I was looking for my way past. Damaged my car badly, losing about 1-1,5s a lap, but it looked like a racingaccident or just a series of unfortunate events  Kiss Grin.

Dropped to 9th, behind Madd and MJ. MJ spun at the Bus Stop and was in 8th. Got a better exit out of La Source and got on the inside before Eau Rouge at Madd. He then went off and took Backo with him, who was very close behind me.

Purdie dropped out (what happened?) and I was in 4th at that time, behind Jan again. Overtook him, can't remember how anymoer tho  Roll Eyes, and I was following TT. Had a 2,5s gap between me and TT, with only 1 lap to go. Pushed like madd and got upto 0.3s at the finish  Grin.

Fun racing and this big track suits the reversed track thing better.

Grats to SBG on the win.

totally enjoyable Grin

First race was best for me...got a decent start and was doing ok for a couple of laps till MJ, I think it was just left me for dead through eau rouge....(must get 7th gear fitted to my car too Smiley). I then had jan behind me and got distracted so he got passed too...I nearly re took the place off him a couple of laps later....but...thats another story Sad.
I then tried my hardest to fend off Purdie Shocked. Managed for about 4 laps but it was only a matter of time before I cracked under the pressure and he sailed off into the distance.

Race 2 was poor for me...got sandwiched (fairly I may add) into eau rouge on the first lap and ended up spinning with not being able to find a line through...spent the rest of the race on my own enjoying the sights.

Great racing tonight...both starts were relatively incident free and there was some excellent wheel to wheel stuff going on.

Grats to All...oh, and the winners/podiums. Cheesy

really enjoyed that track/car combo.... Smiley

Race One

Quali'd 3rd and stayed there for a few laps, defending off BACKO and FreQ....into Bus Stop i think BACKO was quite late on brakes and me early and he tapped me into a spin. I dropped down to 10th and BACKO slowed to let me pass (thank you mate  Wink) and I was distracted into La Source and tapped Darren round into a spin. I stopped so he could go.....very sorry Darren  Embarrassed  Sad

Then had some wicked racing with Pseudo, Jan Duijs and Mark Jonzo!!  Grin finishing 8th! pace was fierce!  Cool

Race Two

Started 8th and was hoping for top 5 Lips Sealed!

Race 2 was poor for me...got sandwiched (fairly I may add) into eau rouge on the first lap and ended up spinning with not being able to find a line through...

saw that right in front of me!  Shocked looooollll, just missed you  Cheesy

Started with some great racing with BACKO and then, him and I slipped past Freq and Truetom on the same corner!  Afro
Ruskus and Darren collided and then I got past BACKO (first and probably last time I say that  Roll Eyes) into 2nd!  Smiley
Then hassled Gingsters and managed to slide past on the run to La Source, managed to hold on for a couple of laps with him ALL over me  laugh and by closing my eyes through eau rouge  Cheesy

Then 3 laps from the end...braking for Les Combes my comp slowed to 1fps and i kept it floored hoping it wouldn't freeze the car in the middle of the track if i disco'd and I would just go straight on but then the whole comp seized....goddamit!!!  Undecided Smiley thankfully car off track :'(

Grin great racing tonight! cheers all!  Grin would have nice to have had a high finish to show for my efforts!  Undecided

Had no praccy and expect to crash and burn in this one Grin Started 7th just ahead of TT who pressured me in the early stages. I managed to start pulling away from him and trying to catch Freq. Made no inroads, then there was a collision which put us up a few places, then Freq spun leaving me 3rd Shocked Thought that's where I would end but SBG started to come back to me from around 5s I think, finished a few tenths behind. I thought was on fire but this was only 'cus he was running out of fuel Grin
Grats to Jeff and SBG on winning,
Nice race and cya at the next GT3.
