Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 633s

Don and Pedro Silva are heading towards the Busstop. Don brakes at his normal point, but Pedro brakes too late. There was a big gap between drivers when they started braking, so Pedro's view wasn't blocked and there was enough time for Pedro to realise that he wasn't going to make it. Pedro could have easily evaded to the right as there was enough room and the runoff strip. Instead he kept aiming towards the apex and hit Don.

  • Pedro Silva (PEDRO SILVA)penalty — Avoidable and unnecessary rear end shunt. — 2 places lost (plus 7 for penalty points)

Server replay time: 638s

After previous incident between Pedro and Don, Pedro has also spun and is facing the wrong way on the runoff tarmac. At that point John is approaching and Pedro should've been able to see him coming. Still Pedro rejoins the track right infront of John, claiming the place that wasn't his. There is contact and John's car is damaged. But besides that, there isn't much lost and John and Pedro can both continue the race in the same positions they were in. Together with the next incident I'm going to give a 1 place penalty, as there was no major accident, but more of a reminder to the rejoinrules

Server replay time: 786s

A lap later than previous incident, Pedro outbrakes himself and goes on the green runoff. He doesn't spin and can immediatly continue his way. At the point of rejoining he was still a bit ahead of John, and he had to rejoin somewhere. The other option was cutting the busstop completely which also shouldn't be done.
John steers in for the 2nd part of the busstop but that's where Pedro rejoined. John could have known Pedro might have been there and leave some extra room, but...Pedro should have given John his place by lifting off and joining behind John. This was more of a racing incident, but together with the previous one good enough for a 1 place lost.

Didn't want to appear desperate  Wink. Thank you kind sir.

Just outta interest any one got some Viper times? I was surprised when they were competitive at Adria and I fully expect them to kill the 811 at Spa. Hope I'm wrong again  Smiley

Don't know if i will be able to enter, as Virgin have completely messed up my internet connection, with ping rates of 250+ at peak hours, with less than 180kbs d/l speed and 100kbs u/l...VIRGIN SUCK!
I will test this week and see what happens though it doesn't look hopefull at all.

I don't think the Viper is going to be as competetive here as it was in Adria...there are too many mid/high speed corners to negotiate that the canal boat seems to struggle with.

It was a bit of a suprise how competetive it was in Adria, after doing a few laps here though I can see that the power advantage is better used for acceleration out of slower corners, such as adria, and much less effective through the longer, faster turns here at Spa....or there again....it could all just be my driving laugh

Time to get push hard in the M3 here at Spa as I will miss the next race due to being on holiday which is a shame as I was looking forward to racing at Hockenheim.

How do I practice with my success ballast added?

On the UKGTR server, I think 'some' ballast is present..but it will prolly be from a different series.

I normally start a dedicated server on my own machine and run GTR2 manager with it so I can enter any ammount of balast needed....(bit of a waste of time for me as I'm ALWAYS -20  Sad).

You can also alter your weather file to more closely match the temperatures etc.

Only downside is your on your own.
