Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 1204s

Davor Mirkovic is trying to pass Adam Parle on the inside through the last corner but gets very wide causing contact between both cars, forcing Adam off track. Adam manages to keep control over the vehicle and gets back passed Davor.

No driver looses anything in particular and the passing driver is still behind. Also prior to this incident Adam did almost the same to another driver, so Davor gets off by a warning.

Server replay time: 1253s

Davor Mirkovic is behind Adam Parle as they are closing on the chicane. Because Adam is in the Corvette, he has to brake a bit earlyer than Davor, causing Davor to rear-end Adam.

Davor should've been prepared for this as he's been behind Adam for at least a couple of turns, and should know that Adam needs to take it easy through turns. But because of the severity of an impact this is for Adam, Davor gets 2 places lost as penalty.

Server replay time: 1538s

Jebstone Boppman is catched by the leaders, Jeffrey Ruskus and Madd-RIP, when he's entering the last turn a bit hot, which makes him go slightly off track. Then Jeffrey takes advantage of this and is getting along side with Jebstone as Jebstone is trying to rejoin the track. This makes Jeffrey loose it a bit, letting Madd passed.

Once off track you should not rejoin until it's safe to do so without obstructing other vehicles. Because Madd-RIP was so kind to let Jeffrey go by, no places were lost, and Jebstone did probably not see Jeffrey in his mirrors, and did maybe think it was safe to rejoin, his penalty is reduced to 1 place lost.

Tongue Ossie has been making our friends in work fully aware of my mistake, and tbh I don't blame him, it was an error which made me stare at the screen in disbelief, still, a thoroughly enjoyable race.....even though I didn't finish.....cock!

The first mistake made you end in 6th, the 2nd mistake at T1 made you quit  Grin. Which one is he talking about  Wink?

Mark and I overtook Sander (IIRC) quite funnily. I took the outside and he took the inside at the same time Grin. Must have been a surprise for Sander Smiley.

Luckily I saw you all coming but it still looked terrifying from my point of view

Could be because you swapped cars? Huh I've seen bugs like that before.

I wanted to watch the replay before commenting.

Very tense race, exciting. The car choice turned out great, it was so tight racing, despite the differences in the cars.

...had a couple of scary moments when Mike's car warped everywhere, and nearly got thrown off track when he warped directly in front of me, a terrific scrap with him and Jeff for all the race though.

Very sorry to hear I was lagging, it sucks when good racing is disturbed by such technical problems. Maybe that was why I got nudged several times during the laps I was ahead of you Tongue. Fortunately the E-Type is a sturdy and stable car, so no spins resulted from it. No worries. I see from the replay I got you back good on the straight with a lag bomb though.  Sad

I also feel Bara passed me by giving a nudge just prior to braking zone in 2nd to last corner on the last lap, I would probably not have went wide and given room otherwise. But I sinned far worse trying to squeeze through where there simply wasn't quite enough room on the last turn. Very sorry. With less throttle I might have been able to both avoid Prib and leave Bara enough room,

Before the chequered flag I wasn't waiting for Pribeiro, I was waiting for Baracus, but when Pribeiro also slowed down and flashed his lights I went ahead anyway. Lots of confusion there the last lap. But I thought that to be the common practice, you bump someone off, you wait for them. Right?

All in all a very enjoyable race, despite the few troubles there. It's so tough to avoid contact while in a tight group of dissimilar cars, all trying to overtake one another. Thanks once more for a good race.

I'm going to start looking for another ISP, this lagging just won't do.

No, cable. Same cable I've had for years. It used to all fine and peachy, but the last weeks I've had spikes of lag every now and again.

Hi Mike

Some of the lagging might be down to the Simbin servers at the moment. I was lagging for the first time ever at nogrip on Wednesday and Friday I had to drop out of a GTR2 race because it was so bad I was getting an FPS of 1! And I have 10 meg cable broadband!

Results imported and replay uploaded.

Please can I re-iterate DO NOT SWAP CARS AFTER QUALIFYING HAS STARTED. The system does not cope with drivers being in one car for qualifying and another for the race.

PLEASE CAN [Poodle]Andy OWN UP TO WHICH FORUM ACCOUNT YOU ARE UNDER BECAUSE YOU HAVE BEEN IMPORTED AS GUEST BECAUSE I CAN'T FIND AN ACCOUNT FOR YOU.

hi simon, sorry i dont understand what u mean, i only registered last week, just before the race using the name andyq, then changed my profile to include the POOdle tag, hope that helps

Thanks, I've now registered your forum profile with your GTL driver name. I couldn't find a match for you in the forum members to be able to match up the GTL driver with at forum member, so that's resolved now.
