Not a single Jaguar setup in the online folder. Popular car. So, how about it Jeff? Share your setup? angel

Didn't we do an all E-Type race here last season?
It was i good race if its the one im thinking of Smiley

The only all E-Type race that I can remember was when GTL was just released. It was at Dijon and it was 2 races, and in the 2nd race me and Edamspeed (IIRC) had a photofinish Cheesy. I think that was the first event I ever won here.
Whoops - im thinking of brands hatch, not sure it was all e-types, but that was what the majority drove.
i ran out of fuel near the end! good race though.

How long ago was that race you were thinking of Ruskus?

I doubt I will make this, but I'm also having trouble finding a link to the patch that works, does any one have one?

EDIT - Stupid me, it's on no grip racing!

Wow amazing you found that picture, it was exactly the one I was thinking of  thumbup2 .

I hope I can race tonight, had a massive painattack last night due to my kidneystones and I'm prescribed heavy musclerelaxing painkillers. So I hope I don't get an attack tonight, because that hurts like sjiet Tongue and racing with musclerelaxing drugs doesn't make me improve as well  Grin

If it's anything like one of JR's normal setups, I'd watch out for massive amounts of oversteer and more steering lock than there are specs of blood in the Team Shark garage. Wink Tongue

Oh man..... :'(

What a disgrace.

My return to UKGTL ended before it began. Crapiola.

Start whent crappy but no matter, still in third, hoping Baracus would keep Ruskus occupied so I could get some concentration back. I dunno why it was so hard for me, couldn't focus at all. Ruskus was slowly slipping further and further. Just focus dammit, put in a good lap, or two. Then I realised it. I still had my sweater on, and was really hot.

Sounds like a lame excuse I know, but it's always been the case that when I start getting hot I start driving crappy. So, here comes the back straight, i'll just take it off real quick...turn ending, wheel straight, headphones off, bwuah, sweater off, oh crap, here comes the mild bend....and what do I do %¤%¤#

As I'm putting my hands back on the wheel I let my palm thats sliding over it grab and the wheel turns left. With steering lock of 31, nothing I could do anymore. I'm in the wall and engine won't start.

Dumbest move ever.

Sorry for messing up, and then quitting, this just pissed me off something fierce. One of my favorite tracks too.  Embarrassed

Well, hope you guys had a good race at least, I'll be back for more next time, hopefully without such dumb mistakes.

Haha mazing excuse Mike, it's so good, I immediatly believe it Cheesy.

Both qually and race went very well, didn't make any mistakes in both and am pleased to finish first.

Also good to see so many people enjoy this race. For me, these kind of cupraces get preference. Not dangerous difference in carcharacteristics etc and no "best" car. Just man against machine...and man again Tongue

I really dont managed to get a decent setup for race.
First half was fun with a close racing with Simon and Mclean,
but i lost the convoy when i spun due to a stupid mistake (braking hard with a wheel
on grass) Roll Eyes
After that, had some fun trying to keep in front of Ossie.  Tongue
Almost at the end of race Dan spun, and i grabbed the 7th place.  Smiley
Great car for drifting, i had to be very very carefull exiting corners,
or E-Type begining to dance all over, cool race tho.  Grin
Well done podium  Wink
Cheers

Had fun on that race,

Lots of battleing the entire race, but not with other cars - just my own! Way to stressfull to drive that car, and I was positive all week I would be spinning like crazy come race time. I was suprisingly consistent for the race, even if I started to lose time. I was holding great at mid pack, then behind Syd for many laps, then I started losing time and I don't know how. It may have been dude to the layers of tyre I was leaving behind me, or the fact my car was pulling to the left after being rear-ended early on, but I couldn't increase my times, and Blew a 14 second lead on 16th place. Ended up losing it by the end of the race.

Come the last few laps was a total nightmare. My tyres were gone, and that damage I suffered in the rear really started to come into play as I could feel the force feed back resist me when turning right, then losing all resistance when going back left, was tough to adjust to.

Was pleased with the race overall, as I was on the track for a lot longer than I anticipated, and the racing seemed clean and fair the whole night.

Only two retirements also, which also was a big suprise in these cars!
