Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 44s

At the start, Steve Holmes was directly behind Tinman on the grid. Steve got a much better start than tinman, but turned away from tinman too late, clipping his rear end. This spun tinman and left him at the rear of the pack. Steve did continue, and was not aware of tinman's misfortune.

  • Steve Holmespenalty — Rear Ending — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 59s

In turn one Ossie is braking late and rear ends Minton. This forces Minton into a spin, collecting will16v. Will continues fine, but this contact makes Minton spin the other way back into traffic. He's then hit again by ossie and then Sandor. Sandor is then thrown back and onto the wall, but recovers after loosing 7 positions. The contact with Sandor also turns Minton's car the right way, so he can continue with ossie behind him, and with 5 positions lost.

  • ossie (0ssie)penalty — Rear Ending — 2 places lost (plus 3 for penalty points)

Server replay time: 1070s

Ossie catches up with Ade on the front straight. They run side by side with Ade at least a car lenght ahead, down the entire straight. At the middle of the straight Ade moves a bit towards Ossie, possibly because the road marking is changed here, or to make Ossie hit turn one a bit narrow, anyway Ossie corrects and moves away from Ade. Then as they're closing on turn one, Ade brakes first, but at the same time Ossie turns a tad towards Ade and hits his rear end. This forces Ade off the track, and Ossie continues. Ossie could see Ade all the time, as Ade was half a car lenght ahead the entire time.
Also Ossie had the passing car here.

It actually looks like Ossie's car is getting a bit unstable under braking, which causes him to touch Ade.

  • ossie (0ssie)penalty — Side by Side Contact — 1 place lost (plus 3 for penalty points)

This thread has me a little confused. Was PR really in the Village People? Wink I'd guess he was the Indian?

I am pretty sure you can do.
I did a 26, while i was talking to my wife and daughter and playing with my cat and drinking
a few drops of whisky, scratching my shoulder, looking for a second or two to my TV
and singing a song (mentally) that i cant forget for a couple of days (you know those
80´s songs that come up a few times to us, old people  Tongue

Cheesy, but was this in the BMW? If so, damn.
I did a few laps, and I can see 27s in race. So easy to get the outer rear tire on the grass and spin though. Interesting track, even though it's fairly simple. Haven't raced in the beemer in a while, gonna be fun.

Cheesy The Escort is such a blast around here, although it'll struggle against the 911 and Bimmer I'm going to persevere 'cos its soo much fun. My times have dropped so getting more used to driving the BDA screamer around here (need earplugs tho!).

Having problems joining the server tonight - getting the "Cannot join game - track not installed".  The server is currently set to one of the Monza tracks.  Has anything changed since last week?

That sounds like you don't have the right Kyalami installed (or it's installed wrongly).

Having downloaded the track again from the link and installed it, I have a query -  in the opening scene it says Masters 2005 not 1979.  Is this the correct track?

All is well. Grin

I must remember what I was taught first thing as a RAF Apprentice "don't assume check"  1979 means just that - read digest and act.   Hit with a wet fish

It's me age.

Got fed up with the Bimmer, feels like a truck with overweight. Went back to the Escort as the GT40 felt awfull as well and me and the 911 do not go hand in hand Tongue
