A longer track would be better for a 2 hour endurance IMO. At these short tracks I'm just waiting for the lappers to go by all the time, with no time to race.

ahhhhhh wrong tyres....... first off a big SORRY to the chap in mc12 i think, I tried to make space for you to pass on the straight after turn 4 near race end and got two wheels on the grass and spun out and you got me broadside as i skidded back across the track....hope it didn't f**k you up to much...also got in the way coming into the first a few times with the bloody pit board flashing up right over my rearview mirror....hope to see you all soon  when  i get the flat spot off my arse.... have a great Christmas......

Wasn't that big a deal Ade, as I had a lead of over a lap at the time. Although it would have been a problem if Jeff hadn't disco'd Grin

That was a very tricky race for inexperienced drivers to start off with, and a tight twisty track to boot. Every lap there were people in the gravel (our TS channel became a warning broadcast!). If anything, people trying to get out of the way were causing more problems than being solved, but that's just the way it is in endurance sometimes.

Hopefully someone will set up a 100% Wet race at Spa or somewhere suitable in the new year. I'd love to try a properly wet track on my new rig.  Cheesy

Yea, it surprised me a bit when I saw it's gonna finish earlier. Have built my strategy around the point that Lister can go through the race with 1 stop and so I wasn't really pushing. But in the race I saw it didn't really make any difference - Freq and Ruskus were a lot quicker so my clever strategy had missed the point.  Cheesy

I must say when I practiced for this event I had trouble. Couldn't get the hang of this track, was losing time all over and it was really frustrated. I ended picking the right car for the track - I thing I never did before.  Roll Eyes  At the end I decided for Lister 'cause of several reasons: I was getting nowhere with Lambo, GTCs were a majority enlisted allready and Lister intrigued me for some time now. I must say I didn't drive it in the past mostly 'cause it has the wheel on the wrong side.  Tongue   I finaly got the track sorted towards the end of the race, could see where I can keep higher speed through the corners where I was braking before and the times got quicker.  Smiley
I had no issues with FPS and I don't mind if we use this track for an occasional fun race if not for Championship.  Smiley

Good fun, too bad the were not more drivers.  Sad

I enjoyed that, being only my second race over 15 laps I was concentrating on finishing rather than pushing to keep up with others or get good lap times. Only 4 'incidents', 2 spins my fault, one due to a gearbox problem (not sure if it was a hardware fault or a virtual one!) and a sorry to Martin (and Dave, I think, who I might have delayed waiting for Martin) for the rear ender at the 2nd corner, I knew you were braking early into that one and was wanting to close up the gap - think I closed it a little too much!

Enjoyed that more than the GTC as although I couldn't keep up with the leaders in GT1, I still got some enjoyment from overtaking the the GTC cars! A very scary moment after passing a GTC car at the end of the finishing straight then coming across a frozen Rukus (leaving the pits?) while I was braking for the corner, somehow managed to avoid him and make the corner but was real close!

Was suffering a bit with frame rates but battled on regardless.  Got lapped due to wrong choice in tyres which lost me about 5 seconds a lap.  Car became uncontrollable and ended early.

Merry christmas all and a happy new year.  See you all in 2008.

Also sorry to Andy E - I really didn't mean to pass you into Surtees, I pulled out not really knowing what point you'd brake at and suddenly found myself shooting up the inside of you! Shocked But I think I would've been past in another few corners anyway. Wink laugh

No problem dave, I think I made an error anyway, down shifted or something? You flew by the first time you past me, so yes you would have been back past soon again. Wink

Great track, for me no FPS issues (3800+ and 7800gt),race was tricky at the start ,was waiting for MJ and MMC to catch up but they
,to my suprise, could not close the gap.Simon was way to fast for me so i was om my own for the most part of the race( boring).
Endurance is great but we need -bigger grids, and stick with one class ( you get more fights and less pressure and frustration for the unexperienced drivers).Big thumbs up for Morten who kept on going, despite his numerous offs.

Wish you all a Merry Christmas and a great 2008.

Thanks, but I didn't keep it going for too long, as I folded eventually. Ade on the other hand kept it going to the end it looks like, so I bigger thumbs up for him.
