Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 38s

Blunder thinks it's a rolling start and completely fails to move at the start for over 5 seconds, causing chaos as other cars have to brake and swerve to avoid him.

Server replay time: 45s

As the start goes, Mike Hammer spins across the track right into the path of Jebstone Boppman. Jebstone has nowhere to go and crashes into Mike.

This is a dangerous place to spin, at the front at the start of a race, and should be avoided.

  • Mike Hammerpenalty — Self spin with contact — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 49s

Just as the field is leaving start Mike Hammer spins. He's then waiting at one side of the track. Then as Tibernius is approaching him, he just rams into Mikes parked car.

  • Tiberniuspenalty — Lack of care approaching an incident — 3 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 205s

Morten is looking at the inside of MJ, locks a wheel and makes slight contact before backing off. Mike Hammer runs into the back of him as a result. Mike then gets tagged himself by Mr BMW.

Mike is a quick driver but spun under his own steam during the start and then failed to take account of being at the back of the pack when estimating safety margins.

  • Mike Hammercaution — contact with Morten
  • MortenS (Morten)caution — contact with Marc Jonzo
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded
  • Mr.BMW (Jebstone Boppman)caution — contact with Mike Hammer
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 1520s

Madd-RIP has just passed PRibeiro and is closing fast on Ruskus. As they approach the 3rd to last turn, Madd-RIP brakes late and touches Ruskus' rear, forcing Ruskus off the track. Madd-RIP spins, and PRibeiro passes both for the lead.

This should be avoided as Madd is closing this fast he would have had plenty of opportunities to pass later. However I choose to see this as simply missing his braking zone.

  • Madd-RIPpenalty — Rear-ending — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 2100s

Tibernius spins in turn 1, in the middle of the ideal racing line. He then spins the car around ending up outside the racing line, but still on the track. Then he's slowly driving down into the racing line just infront of Baracus.

Try to get up to speed and check mirrors before getting back into the traffic. If' you'd just kept your car in the outside throught this turn, the rest of the traffic would have time to adapt to your speed.

  • Tiberniuspenalty — Bad Rejoin — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 2213s

After passing Tibernius, Madd-RIP misses braking and gois off the track. He then rejoins behind Tibernius, as they are closing the last turn. In the final turn Tibernius slows down, as he thinks Madd is passing him on the outside, which he is not. Madd is trying the use Tibernius' draft. So when tibernius is slowing Madd has nowhere to go but straight into Tibernius' rear end.

Never do unexpected things like this when a car is as close as this. I can't believe you didn't see him in your mirrors, but if you don't, don't do anything untill you're sure where the drivers around you are. You could also flash your lights to let him know to pass you.

  • Tiberniuspenalty — Dangerous behavior — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

As for Ruskus coming second in the vette – wow, bloody fantastic result – great driving (impressive during quail too). …

Thanks. That Vette is so much fun. In the twisties it was a matter of keeping close to the apex and just thinking...wait for it....wait for it...wait for it... and as soon as we arrived on the straight...FLOOR IT Grin. I had Capri's all over me most of the race, trying to find a way past, even round the outside Smiley.
Good to see you also in the Vette, it really brightens the grid IMO.

And surely if F1, GP2, F3000 etc. can manage standing starts without everyone crashing into each other then we should be able to with a bit of driver discipline.

** As for the coming together a few laps before and ‘unceremoniously’ pushing Steve off the track in T2, check yer replay Steve so what was that bump up the arse I got from you into T1 all about then? I knew you wasnt gonna wait if I had gone off….i just managed to keep the Vette on the track…straighten the big dude up…wham open the throttle and nail your ass into T2 (we both went wide...but what the hell after T1). In the end there was no way you would of passed me without the bumping Wink  - on the last corner of the last lap your mission was successful, grats**

You're dead right Keith, if you want to submit an incident report for the final corner, I won't argue that.  I had no idea there had been contact at T1, I thought you simply outbraked yourself, and then when you (rightly it turned out) wanted the place back I thought you were driving unfairly.  But seeing that there was some small contact which did unsettle your car and lead to you running wide you were rightly aggrieved.  And I thought you were in the wrong and I was annoyed you didn't pull over and let me through after pushing me off.  And was pretty p*ssed off.  How wrong can you be.  Oops.   Embarrassed

Shame, until that point I'd really been enjoying our dice, no contact, real cat and mouse, after that point I was irritated and it wasn't so much fun.   Sad

You deserved that 10th place, sorry.

No worries Steve….thanks for the reply, things are more clear now.
You where clearly faster than me…but I just happened to be in front – you did give me a rather testing few laps Wink
Even on the start/finish straight I didn’t get a break ….i remember thinking > ****** **** that Capri is fast (my mirrors full on Capri even at the end of the straight, lol)

Forget all the incident report stuff (no really my bag) & P10 is yours np.

Until the next race! Cya soon. Keith

Have to say, I'm sorry to see hardly any incident reports from this race. Thanks to the guys that have put them in.

For all the moaning about quality of driving, if you guys can't be bothered to put the effort into reporting incidents then the standard of driving won't improve. There are some pretty big moaners, but I don't see reports from them, so put up or shut up. You have a right to moan if you can be bothered to help out everyone by trying to improve driving standards by putting in the effort, finding the incident in the replay and providing an objective view of the incident as an official report.

YOU have to input into the system to make the system work!
