Ossie taps Ruskus' rear under braking. Can't see any effort to avoid contact by Ossie. Ruskus spins, and Ossie continues.

  • ossie (0ssie)penalty — Rear-Ending — 1 place lost (plus 1 for penalty points)

Server replay time: 213s

Jebstone Boppman taps Martin 'Blunder!' Mason under braking. Can't see any effort to avoid contact. Martin spins, and Jebstone continues.

  • Mr.BMW (Jebstone Boppman)penalty — Rear-Ending — 1 place lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 692s

Dan Minton tries to outbrake Dave Gymer on the inside of the second to last turn. As they're taking the turn, they are side by side. Dan goes a tad wide, and Dave goes a bit narrow. Contact is made but both drivers are in complete control of their vehicles, and both continues fine. Dan in front of Dave.

This is nothing more than some rubbing, but it could've gone worse. Dan should keep his line a tad better.

  • Dan Mintoncaution — Over-Ambitious Overtake

Server replay time: 1306s

Sandor Mooijekind had stopped on the track on the inside in a sharp right-hander, just before the turn-in point. Syd Drake approaches with Simon Gymer on his tale. Syd brakes almost the same spot as normal, just a tad sooner maybe, but moves a bit to the right straight for Sandor (probably because he's braking harder than normal and locking up a bit). Simon is usually the one of the two (Simon and Syd) that's turning in earliest normally, which also will avoid him hitting Syd. But in this situation he can't avoid Syd on the inside as Syd is already there. Simon therefore collects Syd first, and then Sandor.

If any driver is stopping on the track for whatever reason, do it off the track, unless it's impossible or it's unlikely that someone will drive where you're standing.

If you're behind another car, you're responsible for not hitting the car in front during braking. If you're trying to close in under braking, your should be able to avoid if necessary, maybe by choosing a different line than the car in front. You should also take into account that there might be an incident infront of you that you can't see, so it might be wise to move a tad out just to be able to see what's happening infront.

Fun Race, although after about lap 5 I was pretty isolated.

Gave Blunder an ugly tap early on, sorry for that - feel free to submit an incident report.
I locked up and slid into you into the turn causing you to spin.

Was good in 11th till Lee showed up out of nowhere with about 5 laps to go. Couldn't keep consistent enough with that little tyre tread left and Lee zipped by me in only 2 laps. Had a large gap between Lee and whoever was behind me in 13th, and finished the race as I spent most of it.

Nice work to Oily! That 9th place finish should get us some points in the Team Championship! Smiley

Good race all, had fun!

Pretty boring race for me, I don't like the track and I'm not too fond of the car either... Angry
I also got Disqualified after the race had finished for going the wrong way, while I was doing doughnuts. Shocked

Maybe the next race will be a bit more interesting...

Wasn't surprised to be outrun by those Ferrari's (or Ferraris?) and had to try and get a good start to prevent a Fezza behind me from flying past.

Had a decent start and could just keep keith behind me. After half a lap already I got spun around by an Alpine, who didn't wait  Angry.
I dropped from 5th to 10th because of that. Had some nice side by side action with Simon, and later I had to follow Dave for a few laps before I could find a way past. Nice driving Gymer brothers, very clean and good fun.
Later I was behind Dan, who was really struggling with his Ferrari (or Ferraris?Tongue) and I was waiting for him to go off somewhere. But he held it pretty good sometimes, nice sideways action Smiley. But at some point his lost a bit too much momentum and I could overtake before the last corner. I expected to be shot by on the straight again, but somehow that didnt happen.

I was gaining on Keith, and at the finish right behind him Grin. Would have been hard to overtake a Ferrari (or Ferraris?) anyway, so saying maybe one more lap won't be accurate Grin.

See ya next time and hopefully tomorrow (Caterhams's's -> Race'07!).

Managed to get a good 6th on the grid in qually above all other alpines.  Race started ok and found myself in 5th, found the back end of Ruskus which really surprised me as I didn't expect him to be so slow into the corner.(many appologies, totally my fault).  I then completely missed my braking point at the worst turn and ended up collecting s**t loads of gravel.  This left me in 9th, about half way through the race the two cars in front of me collided with a back marker I assume and I had to guide my way through the debris to collect 7th.

The rest of the race I was   dabbling with Gizmos healy which was a total blast.  Some nice driving by the fore mentioned and would urge hime to drive GTL more frequently so we could have more of the same.  On the final lap Dan spun and rejoined behind Gizmo just in front of me and I had to ease slightly incase I collided.  Finished 7th, but think I could have finished slightly higher if I hadn't of made any mistakes.

Once again a big appology to Ruskus for rear ending him. death

Managed a pb by over a second in quali then made a too conservative start and Baracus got past me, with Dan in hot pursuit!

Settled down into a rhythm and watched as Baracus slowly got further away until he made a mistake and both Dan and myself got past. Baracus quickly caught back up and got past Dan after a slight error and was on my tail again, we were mere inches apart at some points but it was fantastic, there was a minor incident but we both carried on and were fighting tooth and nail for an advantage with Baracus getting a better drive out of a corner to pass me under braking. surrender

I just tried to keep in touch as best I could trying to save my tyres and was given a pressie when Baracus made a mistake under braking and I retook the lead. sweatdrop

Once again after a few laps he was with me again and another fight ensued, eventually and thankfully he dropped back slightly and I managed to hold on for the win by the skin of my teeth!

I must reiterate as to what a fantastic scrap we had, one of the best, thanks Baracus!  thumbup1

Plus congrats to Keith for 3rd and a big thankyou to all the backmarkers, very good and fair. yes

Done a pb in quali but no match for Madd and Bara.    Got a decent start and settled in behind Matt who took a couple of laps to get into his groove..once he did he started to pull away . From then on 3rd was mine to loose and i did as i made too many mistakes , every time i gained Keith ( i think) i would f**k up and loose ground. Jeff caught me after i made another mistake and i tried my best to keep him behind but got off line in one of the right handers and he got past done the back straight.   Best mistake of all was thinking my headlights were assigned to my sequential gear shifter when 1st gear was assigned to it, so as i flashed a back marker for letting me through i went from 4 to 1st then backwards onto the grass , this let dave through for 5th.
Grats to the podium and jeff and dave on good drives
