Hi guys, sorry to see the troubles with the server, have you considered Race2Play in terms of borrowing their servers?

Presume you still want full control of everything? Just that when we were setting up our TPSCC league Tim did offer facilities there which we could have complete control over, might just be an option to consider?

(And no I am not on commission!)

I know they are US based but I heard they can work well.

In fact, being in the US could have it's advantages, as we'd be playing on their servers when most of the US are still in work. Lag could be an issue though.

Just a quick update. Picnic has been hard at work investigating the options and at this point it's very likely that we'll go with I3D.net, who also host the RSC Racing Club servers. Hopefully it will only be another couple of weeks before we can resume UKGTR Season 6 and get UKGTL Season 4 underway.

Many thanks to Picnic for his efforts, and to the people who have donated money during our little crisis. The new server will most likely be on a monthly arrangement so I'm looking at a "costs/donated this month" type thing, a bit like NoGrip and rFactorCentral use.

Yes I was looking at I3D.net as I had noticed some others used them, I hope you get it sorted...

So soon infact that there is a SimRacing.org.uk Race07 practice server up and running. F3000 at Istanbul. I'll try and join in around 8:15 but I'm currently uploading GTR2 to the server and may have poor pings. Jump on, have fun and please report any problems.
