All members welcome.

This will be used to test GTL on the new server, so the more people that can make it the better. Sorry for the short notice.

Practice: 20:15 (10 mins)
Qualifying: 20:25 (25 mins)
Race: 20:50 (21 laps = ~40 mins)

Track: Magny Cours GP
Cars allowed: Porsche 906, Porsche 914, Porsche 911
Time of Day Setting: 13:00
Start: STANDING

Server: UKGTL Fun Race
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The race will be run using the UKGTL Skin Pack 1.4 which will need to be installed prior to racing; please get it from the downloads page.

I hope I can make this one.  One of my least favourite tracks so I shall disguise my incompetence by probably missing most of prac and qually, and starting from the back in a 914, therefore having a ready-made excuse for being lapped twice.  Genius  Grin

Thanks, so to add to the list of excuses:

Bad car
Bad track
Nagging woman
Cat walking across the front of the monitor (it has happened, several times!)
Err, head falling off unexpectedly.... Huh

ROFL! I am tempted to fight for last position on the grid with you though! I have a team meeting tonight so that might HAVE to be the case anyway. I will try and jump in as soon as I can. 906 for me tho - I love that car Smiley

Grrrr, happened to me yesterday at V8 Thunder. Well, at least almost, as I still use CRT, my can jumps on to the monitor, and waves with the tail in front of the screen. I hit the wall, but managed to stay away from other cars.

Sorry about bugging out early, Porsches really aren't my thing. Was running as high as 3rd early on after a big melée at Adelaide on lap 1 but gradually slipped back as the 911 did it's "egg you on and then spit you off the road backwards without warning" thing time and time again. Eventually destroyed the front suspension with a big tank-slapping off into the barriers at Nurburgring. Shocked

Server seemed good, all cars stable and no problems other than the occaisional stutter which might have been at my end.

Started well, with the clutch I can take people off the line and shot up into 2nd. Eventually got up into the lead and then it went downhill from there.

The Porsche 911 RSR really is a horrible horrible handling car and on top of that you can't use first gear and it has a tendancy to swap ends under breaking with no warning anyway, which I did at least twice into the final chicane if not more. Horrible horrible car. Porsches suck, who chose these cars?! Wink

Also raced marred by whacking Jeff (again!!) into 180. Sorry teamie! Really can't work out what happened there. Jeff ran wide and my car just seemed to take up the space that was gone and then Jeff came back from being wide unexpectedly and went into the space my car was heading into and whack. Wouldn't have been so bad if I was actually trying to overtake him, nudging aliens out the way is definately fair game  Wink (just kidding!!!! Tongue)
