Simbin has launched their new web site for GT Legends. http://www.gt-legends.com/I don't know if they will make improvements over GTR, or what ISI engine they are using for the game, but I am looking forward to driving some of the older cars: porsches, mustangs etc.

They are turning this into a console game :'(
"Buy, collect and sell cars in the brand new career mode including exciting Cup Challenges where you can earn prizes and unlock unique cars."
Being crap at these games it annoys me that I have to pay full price but only get to sample half the product. If they release a pile of cheat codes at the same time then fair dos but I won't buy things like Colin McRae because I don't have the time or skill to unlock everything.

I'm afraid your right picnic, sounds like they are heading towards a console style play with all of the features of career mode, unlocking cars etc. Thats probally where they could make the most money, games for the x-box or ps2 (not too far away will be the release of the next generation versions of these two consoles), and of-course money is what this business is about when you boil it down. But we can only hope, I still want to drive some old porsche's and american cars.

On their website SimBin do say they have ambitions to produce games for consoles as well, sounds like GT Legends might be their first. Hopefully it will still have a proper sim mode.

Not convinced, it sounds very much like r-Factor with old GT cars. I believe r-Factor will have this career malarky in it as well. If they go all arcardy they will lose all their punters, but i suspect it will cover both aspects. After all GTR has both very dodgy Arcade mode and Sim mode this is just doing it in a different way to get more market cover by making the arcade side more appealing.

Similar to their "King of Ovals", pretty obvious thats designed to appeal to the US market mostly (although I'd quite like to give it a spin myself).

Hehe, yes! Hopefully they'll come in red, white and blue too. "Get the wheels in line. Get the wheels in line!"
