I suppose it's one tyre manufacturer per car model, instead of per car? i.e. All 350Zs on Yokohamas instead of one?

The cars that we changed for Season 6 were single-tyre cars, so we just changed that one model. Let's not get into a Season 7 debate here, please, this thread is about Zhuhai.

I'm not sure the Morgan has any great advantage over the Mosler at Zhuhai anyway. Over one lap I'd say the Mosler is a bit quicker but probably wears its tyres more in the race so it might need to take a harder compound. A dunlop shod Morgan is pretty much as quick as the Michelin one, but like the Mosler suffers from more wear.

Hopefully I should be fine for this one. Not had anytime to practice yet.
My never ending bad luck with the flat carried on this morning.
They are doing some roadworks just along the road and managed to cut through one of the main electricity cables.
I've been in darkness all day so travelled through to my parents for showers and ironing.
Hopefully the stupid eejits sort the electricity out and I'm up and running in time for tonight.

I'm pretty confident in saying I'm going to get whupped in the Vertigo here, I'm miles off the race pace you other GTC's are getting, I can just squeeze into the 1:38's on a good lap. I'm sure it's the car and not my driving

It's the car - lots of slow corners and long straights is not exactly the Vertigo's strong suit!

Really, really poor . All I had to to grab second was keep Dave at Bay and doing that comfortably. Someone runs outta fuel half way around final lap and instead of quiting, like any right minded person, he sits in the middle of the track till I come and then moves over, right into my path. Thanks a bunch. I would bother and report you but I ain't gonna get my place back. Just so you know that kind of standards pi** even the most mild mannered of us off

I completely agree SBG, completely out of order, he took me out too. It nearly altered the team championship. P.S. Ignoring the last lap, I really enjoyed that race. Thanks SBG, great driving mate, it was impossible to get by you.

That's terrible luck SBG, Darren, its a real bummer when something happens like that so near the end. Quali was a real upper for me, just off my pb and 2nd too boot in class. Had an inkling the RS of my Cursed teamie would be too quick even though my Mosler was a dream to drive and although I tried my best to hold on he was a couple of tenths faster every lap as I was to Paul. Must have made a mistake in the pits as I lost some time there, then had to avoid a GT1 under braking when I was on cold tyres and ended up in the gravel, so lost a spot to Darren. It was just a case of trying to hunt him down and eventually got up to his back bumper with a few laps to go, we had a great old scrap until his back end twitched mid last corner and he went off, have to watch the replay but then his car completed the slide by smacking me into the pit wall and making my car 2 foot thinner! , lookws like we both managed to keep going until the finish tho, so not too much harm done....yet. Grats to GT1 podium and to Paul and Dan in GTC.

Was content with a 1:27.8 in qually, so I tried with racefuel and tires, and I was only 0.3 slower. So I went out again and did a 1:27.6. At the beginning of the race I could slowly drive away from Brian, but when the backmarkers came I lost alot, which made it interesting. After the pitstop I had a 15s gap to 2nd. I noticed my engine health dropping quickly, and with 20 minutes to go I had 79% . So I had to lift off with every upshift to keep the engine alive, which was pretty tyring. In the end finished with 78%, so it did work. Grats Paul

That was both hard work and enjoyable.
Very happy with 2nd on the grid. I could not find much space to put many clean laps in.
Race started well, Ruskus was never far ahead and Freq was never far behind. I seemed to lose a bit of time at the last 5mins of first stint and Ruskus pulled about 6 seconds out. I knew I had no chance against him anyway as the Lister was always going to take a massive amount of time off me at pits.
I did not bargain on Freq gaining so much though, From a second or two behind me, I ended up 15 seconds behind after Freq stopped. I did make one stupid mistake on cold brakes and ran wide, maybe losing 4 seconds at most.
Simon with the Lister brought himself right back in it at the pit stops.
After making a stupid mistake I soon the car and that allowed Simon to close right on me, where he stayed for a long time.
I by this stage knew I was dangerously low on fuel. I put 86 lites in and came out with 38-39mins to go and did not have enough to give it my all.
Simon got passed after I seemed to bounce and understeered in first bend, He was soon to return the favour just a few corners later.
We had a right blast for laps to come until the last lap he made a move stick. I was not going to give up and we went side by side round the corners only for Simon to get the power down and his nose ahead.
I could not fight back or I would not make the end. I let off and the car was beginning to stutter and finally ran out out on main straight.
Just and only just made it.
Good race. Well done Jeff and Paul on class wins and Simon for the battle

Sweet baby Jeebus, all that sweating for 7th! Great racing though! A lucky superhuman qualifying just put me ahead of Dave (again!) and is now traditional, Dave steamed past me after a couple of laps despite my best efforts. Oh well, I think it took one more lap this week than Sugo so there's some improvement! I was just able to keep vaguely in touch with Dave's battle with PRibiero, they were slowing each other down a bit, until Dave finally overtook and the traffic thinned out a bit. I made a bit of time up in the pits but came out a few seconds behind Dave so I knew there was no chance of improving my position unless there were some serious mistakes. A lonely 2nd half of the race saw PRibiero take 2 trips into the pits so I picked up a place there and that was that. Apologies to Gazza49'er, I got the braking horribly wrong to slide in front of you , I'm so glad there wasn't any contact Shark and Brian at the end there... I really hope I didn't decide the place you were battling for, I stuck to the racing line as long as I could and I gave Brian the inside of the corner but I'm not sure what happened to Sharky... GT1's were brilliant tonight, thanks guys [Moan]No ferking chat in the race![/moan] Grats to Paul & the Kerbies on the titles, you were entirely untouchable,:notworthy: Grats to SBG and Dave (not sure who grabbed 2nd) very fast and consistent drives so a well deserved podium finish

Unremarkable race for me. Couldn't catch those in front, and couldn't hold off Shark at the beginning, and it would have been unfair to block him - since he was obviously quicker and smoother So settled for what I thought would be a 9th or 8th place, but then right in the final 5 minutes, Paul R pulled in for a pitstop which gifted me a place. Backmarkers were excellent - some were so good, I spun further up the road and passed them again Bad luck to teamie SBG - what a nightmare

Sorry about that Madd. Like you say, my back end twitched and with you right beside me contact was inevitable... I'm glad it didn't end both of our races.
