Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 808s

Pedro Silva is following Psuedo and tries to outbrake him in T1. He misses his brakepoint completly and goes so fast into the corner, that he hits Jan Duijs, who was actually 100m or more away from Pedro before the corner. Jan's car flies into the air and is totalled because of that.
Unavoidable incident with big consequences gives this a 2 place lost for Pedro.

The silver lining though Ian is that I think you still finished ahead of Dave (in the championship). Great Stuff!  thumbup2

Thanks for appreciating us backmarkers Wink

Trying my best, and I think it went quite well, but at the end I lost consentration completely whenever I saw someone in my mirror as I was braking, so went off track a few time.

Forgot to check my tire choice before race, so had no idea what tires I was on. Then in pit, the crew suggested soft all around, so I thought that was what I had on, which worn to fast. So I went with medium at the front and soft at the rear.

Then I realized that must've been the same I allready had on, cause they got worn just as fast, so that lost me a bit in the end of both stints.

Didn't like this track very much, but I'll think I'll choose another car for next season.

Sorry for whoever I hit in turn one in a Porsche, but I didn't have much room either. I'm trying my best to let faster cars by, but please leave me some room too Wink

I'm so glad that incident didn't make the difference for the podium positions, that would have been deeply unfair.

I'm with SBG on this one, it feels like the maximum penalty (2 places I assume) has little bearing on the potential seriousness of the actions...

Gutting, Ginsters. :'( After you outqualified my by a zillion seconds I was pretty sure that second place was well out of my grasp. Had an interesting opening stint, taking far to long to dispatch Pops' Vertigo (which was awesome on the brakes into T1 I Am Not Worthy), and then even longer to find a way by PRibeiro's 360.

Pitted soon after that at about half distance, trying to get the maximum out of both sets of soft tyres. Came back out in no man's land and spent a long time circulating as fast as I dared but way out of touch with everyone else. With less than 10 minutes to go I started gaining on the Darren/SbG battle rapidly - but not rapidly enough to catch them before the end of the race. Then whatever happened happened and I was right behind Darren with not very far at all to go and no sign of Ginsters.

Couldn't quite squeek past Darren's Morgan - if the line was another 100 yards up the road I'd have had him!

In the end I don't think I drove well enough there to have taken second in the championship.

Crikey Grin Still stand by what I said though Angry.

I'm glad that incident hasn't affected the final standing as its been a very, very enjoyable season. I know ballasts for both drivers and cars take some flak, some of it warrented, but without it I don't think we would have the classic Morgan, RS, Nissan and even the Vertigo occasionally, battles that have been really enjoyable. Hell I've even battled Paul sometimes Smiley Thanks to Dave, Piccers, Simon and the others for running yet another fun series. Also gotta say the GT1 boys have been of the highest order all season, ta.

Congrats to the Teeth boys for winning the big toys championship. But you can't win them all  Wink. Big thanks to our Paul who, despite winning the championship, still found time to help all the rest of us KC boys.

I'm really sorry for what happened. I know that i cannot make things undone, and i'm ready for the penalty. The race was very good for me, and i was very dissapointed running out of fuel the last lap. So i don't know why i not drove on the grass as i wanted to clear the racing line.

I'm really sorry for that.

Don't forget us ickle wickle Moslers SBG!

Oooops. That cause I never saw you tonight Smiley. Mossies, Morgans, RS, Vertigos and Nissans, and the Fezzas I also forgot. Good stuff Smiley

Thanks for that R.Midderhoff, thats took some balls Smiley. Apology accepted as its clear that you won't do that again. I should apologise for bringing that up in public, so I will. Sorry. Hope my reaction doesn't put you off racing with us, hope you understand that it was the context that had me fuming.

Congrats Ruskus and Paul  Wink
Had a nice few fun laps with Dave  but honestly, Dave was faster than me, i only
was holding him at the corners and having a litlle time to breath on straights   Tongue
Due to a bad fuel calculate, i had to stop 2 times this time was my fault and no Ferrari´s  Grin
Aiming for next season, if you let me be part of it.
But one thing for sure: I WIL NEVER DRIVE A 360 EVER  tank

Thanks all for the fun.

Cheers

there was an odd Fezza or two also  Wink

Not that I am likely to use it for next season  Sad.....it's just not competetive enough with the others in the class here....it was even out qualified by the Vertigo (with addon Rockets)  Shocked

It was also Blooooody hard work to drive tonight too. I ache everywhere.  wheelchair

race started ok...was keeping in touch with Dave, Pops and PR ahead of me. Lost a bit on them when a recovering porka got between us, but had a good old ding dong with it for a couple of laps, good driving Jan Wink. That all ended though when yet another porka that had been off earlier decided to forget all about braking, to pass me into turn 1, and used poor Jan as a brake instead sending him flying. Hope you are going to put a report in Jan....that sort of driving isn't acceptable.

Anyway, after that...I was on my own for the rest of the race...only 10/12 seconds behind though and holding my own reasonably well up to the pits. I have been doing loads of praccy at pit stops, and with the Fezza being good on it's tyres and fuel here I reckoned I could make some back in the stops. Pitted late, 25 mins left and as expected my medium rears were only 6% worn, so just 10 ltr and new soft fronts required. Had a great pit entry, got the limiter on perfectly, great stop dead on the marks, took no time at all to alter the board. Brilliant....I took headphones off and stood up to stretch my aching bones watching the crew at work....and watching, and watching...till I realised I had forgot to switch the engine off  Huh  eek panicked the button off, cursing my stupidity whilst settling back down for round two. Done at last...floored the pedal....nothing Huh......I'd only forgotten to turn the bloooooody engine back on again too. wheelchair hang

Other than that it was enjoyable. Roll Eyes

Thanks everyone for a great season....More of the same next season please.

grats to tonights winners and podiums, and of course to the championship winners.
