Does anyone know if there is a kind of preferred voice comms system working at the mo? Just introduced a friend to Race '07 and am looking for the best way to go about chatting - typing and driving invariably means denting a panel or two.

Just been reading the threads from Dave on Teamspeak back in September and it didn't sound promising then. I don't think servers are the problem but I've got a spare Windows server which i'd be happy to use too if that helps in any way?

Cheers,

J

Quite a few teams have access to private TeamSpeak servers that they use during race and practice sessions. Technically it works fine. In fact I used to run a TS server from home on my ADSL line and it didn't impact by driving experience with 2 or 3 people connected.

Never used Ventrillo so can't comment on that product.

Ok thanks, sounds as if i'm best off just doing the same and running something myself, either locally if my connection'll handle it or maybe on the server.

Cheers,

J
