Another hour-long test, weather will be set from the real world as normal which means it's probably going to be dry... or a thunderstorm!

I think St.Petersburg track has an invisible barrier in T1. It's not a classical barrier but the car stops or veers off even with two wheels on the tarmac. Please have a few laps and see if it's made this way (to prevent cutting) or is it a mistake. I personally think it could make a mess in the race. TT

I believe it's there to prevent cutting - there are these big yellow 'batons' (for want of a better word) embedded in the curb. If you drive over them very slowly they aren't a problem, but if you go over them with any speed you'll most likely come to a dead stop. You'll find the yellow batons in a number of the other curbs - the trick is to not drive over them!

It's easy to avoid them in time-trial. In the heat of the battle, though... We'll see. TT

Done a few proper test laps now and I'm down to 1:11.077 in the 350Z.

I'm not at home so not had a chance to have a look at any of these tracks yet. I should be back for this one unless another disaster happens! Hope everyone has a nice christmas and santa is kind to all!

Hi
Just seen the UKGTR session and the ping was over 1400! Any way to reduce this? I'm on an 8 meg system and in rFactor I never see pings that high from a UK server.

Did a 1:04.3 in the MC12. Even hotlapping is awesome here, love streetcircuits! Got a very stable MC12 setup now, drives like a dream. Hope I can make this event as I'll be at a LAN with some friends. Hope they don't smack my head during racing so I end up checking for cracks in the barrier.

Had some practice on this now.......struggled to get below 1:09 for a few laps but slowly kept improving before getting stuck on 1:06.0. Then studied Jeff's setup and mucked around with my own setup on the MC12 to try to learn something. It's got amazing turn-in but a crap engine and a horrible rear end, so props to Jeff on a 1:04 in it! Finally managed a 1:04.5 in the Saleen in qualifying setup, with the race setup in the 1:05's. Sort of tempted just to try the Lambo...but I shouldn't really
