No problems Dave G - you drove very fairly. My apologies to Adam Parle- I didn't see you alongside until I was turning in.

Crazily close finishing in both races, beating Backo to 2nd in race 1 by about 0.1s and missing out on 2nd to Madd in race 2 by about 0.2s!  I was running with 1 wing but still couldn't get any run on the straights really.  Setup understeered alot from lap 5 onwards too, so that's something to work on for race 3 Smiley

Grats JR on walking away with both races, and everyone who filled the server Shocked Cool

Bit of a mixed evening.  PB in qually (with a race setup) ... a poor start and then "EVASIVE ACTION" in the first couple of corners  Grin .... after that it went pretty well. It was really tricky getting by, you had to be really on your guard.  In the end I ended up running behind Dave and TinMan.  I was hoping on making something more of the race .... bu I had one mistake which cost me a chance ... and then I ran out of BLOODY FUEL .... what a knobber ...

Race 2, move evasive action in the first couple of corners again... then pretty good racing.  Got by Don diving into T1 and that was about it.  Pops let me by Wink and then I was trying to get by TinMan once more.  Got alongside in T1, but these beasties are tricky to see ot of and Tinman just clipped me ... got a bit squirrely but carried on going.  After that I had an opportunity which came just as my good lady wife started talking to me - DOH!!!  Doing a hundred and something into T1 I just couldn't nail it and that was that...

Still, not too bad an evening.

Grats on a great drive Bernie.  Good job everyone else ... good fun.

ps.  Well happy with a 1:16.6 in the race!

I was running with 1 wing but still couldn't get any run on the straights really.

I find once you get down to low wing settings the top speed doesn't really change that much in these pocket rockets, but the balance of the car is more affected.
I was running 2 wing, and I was still able to keep ahaed of you on the straights......just!  Cheesy

Damn close stuff!

For me, I didn't have the impetus to pracci and my interest soon waned in race after DG was booted from just behind me.
I was? Huh Two 7th places doesn't really tell the story of my races but I think I'd have noticed getting booted.

You dissapeared, game lagged and I put two and two together  Smiley And there is only one DG.

Excellent turnout was a credit to your hard work Don. Good luck with rest of series  thumbup2

I don't think I'll ever get used to these cars! Cheesy

I think I got 9th and 11th which was better than I expected.

Apologies to whoever I tagged at the start of race 1, there didn't seem to be any contact but I may have helped you spin Sad After that I was unspectacularly consistent but had lots of close racing and picked up places due to mistakes.

I drove very poorly in race 2 though making lots of mistakes (which only hurt myself fortunately!).

Thanks to Don for organising, great turnout and pretty excellent driving from what I saw thumbup1

Was pleased with my qually lap as it was only 0.1 slower than my PB. There were a lot of cars very close so it was gonna be hectic.

At the start of Race 1 I was afraid to have too much wheelspin and was gentle with releasing the clutch, however, these things lack torque and I ended up crawling off the line.
Madd and I were heading towards T1 and were both overly cautious as we were going very slow through the chicane with massive gapes between us Smiley. Better too much than too little Cheesy.
I couldn't really create a gap untill it was a few sec bigger all of a sudden. After that I could drive till the finish.
My tyres lasted excellent and I was doing faster and faster laps and setting the fastest laps in my last lap  Smiley. Expected them to be shot after half the distance.
Saw an amazing finish between Zacari and Backo  Shocked

For Race 2 I knew I could just rev at the start and let the clutch fly off. I was lucky that the spot infront of me was empty and I could overtake Bernie shortly after the start. There were 3 Shark cars infront of me at that point. Green Hell for some teams Wink. Before braking into T1 I past Mark as well and was side by side with Zacari and right behind Madd. With a better entry I could overtake Zacari and hunt down Madd Tongue. He had to avoid Freq's car which gave me a run on the inside at the hairpin.
Lap later me Dave and FreQ were at the s/f straight, FreQ in 2nd past the leading Dave and me and Dave were side by side heading into T1. Dave held is line very well (although my line was stupishly tight Tongue) and he stayed infront. But after the chicane I got a run out of him before the other corner and outbraked him.
Like FreQ said he was weaving on the straight to annoy me (still that isn't allowed  nono ...weaving, annoying me is open season Tongue) and I was thinking what the hell ya doing. Ofcourse you lose a lot of speed. On a straight even 1mph makes a difference and a 600bhp GT loses speed from weaving. So it was a very easy pass, thank you very much Smiley.

Again I could do faster laps the whole race long, and did a racelap which was only 0.3 slower than my quallypace. So for me the tyres were brilliant. And I was running wing 1-1 as I could only see the straight as an overtaking place Smiley.

I love these kind of cupraces where everyone races the same material. The grid looked lovely with all those colors and the Radicals really enjoyed me more than expected.

Good races. Congrats to JR for dominating and Matt/Bernie/Zacari for a great drive too. Shame the fuel estimate isn't accurate enough but I know now - after running out half way around the last lap (that was with 1 extra lap of gas so I guess I was cutting it fine, but noticed the weight makes a huge difference to times so didn't want to overfill!)

Some good close racing by all. Was behind Bernie for most of the laps in both races, with FreQ in close tow too. I really started to get into it in R2. Think i've only done 1 race in these before (on publics) and I see what whoever it was that was saying about the steering going 'weird' under braking means now, but it's not a show-stopper just a bit odd after GTR/L/P&G.

Good fun c u next time!!

Had a minor coming together at first bend and I was left facing the wrong way and miles behind.

Sorry Brian, I think that might have been me.  Embarrassed

At the time I thought it was just a door to door contact...  I looked behind and saw a pack of cars right on my tail, I just assumed you was one of them...  If I had known you had spun I would have waited for you..

Sorry it ruined your race..  Embarrassed

I would just like to thank Don for all his hard work in organising these events.  Well done!  thumbup1

There really was nothing in it. 21 cars chasing the first corner down I was expecting much worse.

I saw the accident happening but could not get out the way. It was an accident and I've no issues.

As for ruining my race..... I managed that myself.

I do find these cars very hard to race very close to others cars. I may learn in time.

I very rarely play this game and it showed.

I was worried before tonight that the game would either go wrong or the race would end up a farce. Neither happened.

It was rather an action packed night and well done to all.  It was good to see everything working well.

Turn out so far this season has been strong in all classes. Keep it up guys!

Sorry unkie Ruskie  boat

Yea, it was pretty stupid. I got taught a lesson in record time by the seniors though didn't I?  :'(

Had a nap now so I'm more myself (had an exam today and was very tired during the race). I do still view Race 07 as "fun" racing, it doesn't feel as serious to me as UKGTR especially with the reverse grid. Rest assured I'd only do stupid/reckless things to Jeff  angel and the Madd/Zacari incident thankfully only resulted in me jettisoning myself off the track.

I choose to blame everything on my hormonal Junior status  Grin  Gd racing though.

I just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone that turned out yesterday for giving Race your support.
I'm very proud to say that from where I was those were the 2 cleanest and fairest races I have had on-line since playing this game and I would imagine any young blood that turns up for our races will/should be equally impressed with the high standards we have set thumbup2

I had a blast in both my races, plenty of action even at the back where I was.
Think those Radicals have started to grow on me.
