Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 1790s

Darren is followed by Aagramn approaching the last left hander. Darren takes this turn a bit slower than usual (his own words) and Aagramn which was close behind (not too close) didn't expect this and touched his rear. Darren then gets loose and looses more speed which in turn makes Aagramn touch his rear agin, sealing his destiny to go to the sand.

The car behind is responsible to avoid these situations even when the car in front slows more than usual. Darren did not brake hard either, so Aagramn should be able to avoid. I think Aagramn just didn't expect him to slow that much, but should've slowed down to avoid the second impact when he saw Darren lost control.

This was clearly avoidable, but since only one place was lost, or maybe two if he'd continued, and not much other damage I'll give a 1 place penalty for this incident.

  • Aagramnpenalty — Avoidable rear ending — 1 place lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

I managed to get a 2:02:7 last night in quali setup but for race with (more than) enough fuel I'm nearer 2:05:5 ish. has anyone tested soft slicks for 25 laps??

The fronts wear down pretty quickly at Brno. Back in season 4 I tried an M3 on softs, I ended up crawling around for the last 2 or 3 laps. Softs may be possible, depending on your car, setup and driving style. I'll be puttings meds on my Mosler.

I'll be in the mosler too, and I've been practising with meds so I think I'll stick with them!

Good luck! Not sure the mediums on my mosler will make it through the race either!  Cheesy

Must be something to do with the fact that I can't drive for toffee!!  Grin

I'll not be suprised if a Vertigo or two came in the top 5 tomorrow, even on GTR2 rank without the -30Kg it's 2:00.3 and it really flies here.

The TVR's a bit of a handful but I can squeeze into the 2:01's in race trim.  Not sure I'll be keeping that up all race though! Undecided

I still think the Modena needs more ballast help come the mid season break. I can only get it down to 2:01.7 in TT mode with qualifying setup. Sad It could do with another 10kg off imho.

I tried your setuo and with it I did the same time, but that set has terrible turn-in. When I took most of that away it immediatly was more than a sec faster. Smiley

How much fuel do you guys put in for a 25 lap race? The ingame amount seems to just be nonsence, not really sure what the point in it is tbh!

Edit: just realised it's 40mins, so under 20 laps then.

I will be here for this one.

I'm nightshift tonight so will escape as soon as the race ends, but I will post later from work.

Hopefully the race will run sharp on time so I can make work on time.

Time to actually have a look at the track and see what car I'm choosing for this series

What did you do to the setup to make it turn in better for you? I had to make it far less evil to reduce the "fally offy" factor and as a result the setup is stable and boring, something that I know you really don't like. Smiley

Usual stuff, but especially lower that 100% coast  Shocked. Downed it to 20 or 30% and that already helped a lot. Also more caster, lower ride height and making it symmetrical.
Lower front ARB and more of that. Made the whole thing symmetrical as I found some things very weird (like rideheight).
It's a bit more tricky to drive indeed, but I'm sure that's worth a second Smiley

I can understand the 100% coast mainly due to the Fezza's tendancy for snap oversteer under braking, but I usually find Motec is very useful for the diff settings (in my case at least!).
I'll be using my Mosler setup tweaked for the track, hope I do better this time though!

Ah right, you've basically done the opposite of what I've done to create the setup in the first place. ROFL. laugh

I found I had to reduce the castor drastically to get rid of the horrible yawing you get with the F360 and then I had to increase the coast to prevent the back end coming round under braking and I hate low ride height cause it's bad to hit the floor. I have been steadily reducing the front ARB, so maybe I'll go a little further on that.
